Hello, thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. Your experience absolutely resonated with me. I am so delighted that we felt like the right home straight away. The fact that the home is nice, has the household model in it and is always clean and tidy with great food really contributes to giving you the sense of it being the right home. However, it's the people who make the difference and my colleagues in Blossom are fabulous. They're warm and happy and always take great care with all our residents. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Best wishes, Helen.

Maggie joined the care profession in 1997 after having her first child. Having worked previously with horses and in a shoe factory, it was a big career change, but she’s never looked back. Loyal and passionate about caring for others, especially those nearing the latter stages of their lives, she’s committed to helping residents feel completely at home at Blossom Fields through kind and compassionate care. A highlight of her career to date was meeting William and Kate during their tour of the UK to thank carers who had worked through the Covid pandemic.
Starting her career in care 30 years ago, Jude is dedicated to promoting people’s independence and helping them to live their best life. She moved into elderly care from hospital work as she wanted to get to know the people she cared for better - and to be a part of their life journey. People’s needs vary – whether it’s lending a hand or providing a lot of assistance, Jude is committed to doing everything she can to help residents, to understand their wants and needs, and to form a strong bond through caring. From acts as simple as making a resident their favourite drink to helping a family through a bereavement, she’s passionate about her work and proud that so many residents and families speak so warmly about the feeling of “home” they experience at Blossom Fields.
Having trained as a nurse in Romania, Adrian started his career as a care assistant when he came to the UK in 2014.
He joined Blossom Fields in 2016 when he worked his way up to the position of clinical lead. Passionate about delivering outstanding care, he sees the work of a nurse as far more than just a job – rather, a care-centred lifestyle where one thinks like a nurse 24/7.
Rose has joined Blossom Fields with over six year's experience in the care sector. Moving to the UK just over six months ago from South Africa Rose initially worked in domiciliary care, but she was keen to move into an activities role. Having loved working in activities Rose brings not only experience but also lots of ideas.
Rose has a background in food technology, but after a long successful career she wanted to have a more meaningful role and hasn't looked back since changing careers to the care sector. Rose has really enjoyed getting to know all the Blossom Fields' residents.
Rose's vision for Blossom Fields is to introduce the Namaste approach, as well as broadening the range of activities on offer in the home.
Outside of work Rose loves to walk her German Shepherd Ruby as well spending time with her family including two grown up children.
After graduating in 2022 from Bournemouth University with a degree in HR Management and Business Raph decided to take some time off, but that didn’t last long, Raph found out about the receptionist position at Blossom Fields and was working there by the end of the year!
Raph’s skills and knowledge led him to become the home’s administrator soon after starting work at Blossom Fields and now he is responsible for The Grove’s administration as well.
Raph finds his role fulfilling and loves working in the care home environment and the values that go with that. Raph works closely with Saba the Blossom Fields’ receptionist to keep the two busy homes in order.
In his free time, Raph enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves being outdoors. Raph greatly enjoys visiting historical sites, history has been a personal passion for as long as he can remember.
Saba is the friendly face who welcomes you to Blossom Fields. Saba is the receptionist for the home as well as providing administration support. Saba’s experience is a great asset to the home, she is very efficient which is needed in the busy care home environment.
Saba is currently studying for a postgraduate degree in Computer Science, specialising in software engineering.
This is not Saba’s first-degree path, she began her career in the telecom sector, then graduated in Computer Science, before pursuing a postgraduate degree in Technology Management. This programme started as a master’s degree and eventually led to a PhD, with Saba having her papers published.
Saba took a career break to spend time with her family and still cherishes those special times. When Saba has free time, she is an avid reader including journals and articles from renowned publications, as well as loving cooking and baking.
Paul has joined Allegra Care with 27 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, including working in senior leadership roles for the last 18 years, covering operations, business management and quality assurance. Paul has a real passion for person-centred care and how that is delivered at the highest level.
Paul has worked across a diverse sector over his time in health and social care and brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Regional Manager. Paul believes in integrating real and meaningful values and culture into a service and in doing so, delivering the outcomes for the people we support. Paul goes by the theory of values with no meaning, which has no value.
Outside of work, Paul is the father of three boys and a 2nd degree black belt who teaches Judo.
Catherine has worked in sales and marketing her whole career, after graduating with a degree in Textile Management she worked in Corporate Workwear for many years. Catherine’s first role in the care sector was working with a disability charity that ran nursing homes and enablement projects for young adults. While her two children were younger, she joined her husband in his estate agency, but was delighted to return to the care sector in 2020 and now cannot imagine doing anything else.
Catherine’s role with Allegra is to support residents and their families as they explore care options. Working with the teams in the individual homes she ensures that during every stage from initial enquiry through to moving in with us every question is answered, and we offer the reassurance needed for the next chapter in our resident’s life. It is important for our residents to remain part of the community in which will have lived for years, often all their lives, so the other part of this role is connecting with local community groups, charities and organisations.
Catherine has said that working for Allegra with their groundbreaking household model means we are offering a home with compassion and care whilst ensuring residents are retaining their independence and quality of life.
Out of work, Catherine enjoys baking, gardening and walking the family Labrador. The children are older now, but still keep her busy!
