After the passing of Mr Reg W, the staff agreed to host food and drink for a wake. As Mrs Brenda W is still a resident, this was much appreciated. The staff provided an excellent buffet and as always served with a smile and nothing was too much to ask.
I am so sorry for your loss, please accept my condolences at the passing of Mr Reg. We were honoured to have provided the wake, thank you. With my best wishes, Helen
Lovely, friendly staff, super food and facilities.
Thanks for your feedback, the staff are indeed lovely and the food is great. I like the terrace too, it's nice to be outside every chance we get some sunshine!. Thanks and best wishes, Helen
The staff are amazing.
Thank you for your feedback. I completely agree with you, my colleagues are indeed amazing! With my best wishes and thanks, Helen
They do a lot of activities with residents and nothing is too much trouble for them.
The home is always clean and tidy and spacious.
They always keep me informed of any medical issues.
Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I know what you mean about 'welcoming', it's so nice to visit a home and feel welcome, that nothing is too much trouble and that you're part of the family and the team as well. My colleagues will be delighted to read your feedback, thank you. Cheers Helen
All of the staff are so caring and friendly, nothing is too much trouble!
The nursing staff always keep us up to date with any problems, any treatment needed is dealt with quickly and efficiently!
I would recommend Rose Gardens to anyone.
Thanks for your lovely feedback. My colleagues in Rose Garden will be delighted to read them. They're a lovely bunch of people who are absolutely in the right roles, that's what makes Rose feel so much like home. Thank you again, Helen
Mum was well looked after in Rose Garden up to and during the end of her life. As a family we could come and go as we pleased and were well looked after by staff. Mum was always made comfortable with much dignity and always talked to mum while in the room.
Firstly please accept my condolences on the loss of your Mum. It's very generous and kind of you to take the time to provide us with your feedback at this sad time. My colleagues are very compassionate and genuinely care about each Resident and our family members. I wish you and your family all the best for the future, warm regards, Helen
Rose Gardens continues to be the right home for my mum. Mum is not mum of a social person so misses out on the every day activities most of the time - but is very keen on having chats with all the staff and residents if they pass her room - mum enjoys the activities she gets to, but does not remember them soon after, dementia is very sad to be feen by the family and friends but the staff/residents are always ready to help with mum however they can. Many thanks, always.
Hello,Thank you for providing your feedback. It is sad and difficult at times to see how dementia affects our loved ones, my colleagues and I are here to help you at all times, as well as your Mum. With my very best wishes, Helen
My husband has recently become a resident due to his declining Alzheimer's. As soon as I walked through the door, everything about the nursing, especially the atmosphere, was very calming. The staff are brilliant. My husband has to have one-to-one care. The carers are kind with lots of patience. I could not feel more at ease knowing my husband is getting the best care. Thank you so much.
Hello,Your feedback is wonderful, thank you for taking the time to share your views. My colleagues in Rose are warm and relaxed, and so that's the feel you get. Rose Garden is a welcoming home, filled with lovely residents and calm, caring colleagues. Thank you again, Helen
Muchus Goodo!!
Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted to receive a five-star review, cheers!
Firstly I would say the carer's do a good job but are obviously under staffed there seemed to be on average of 3 carers to a floor of 20 patients 90% of whom seemed to be bed bound. The nursing care on the other hand is not great!
My dad suffered some sort of episode while in the home & I expressed my concern to the nursing staff over a couple of days to be told his 'obs' were fine. On the 3rd day I ended up having to call the GP that covered the home myself who pescribed antibiotics for him. They also failed to conduct & submit a requested CHC assessment correctly. The food is truly awful & always not very warm. My dad lost 12lbs in a period of 4 weeks so I ended up taking my own food in for him!
Hello,Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I have spoken with our Regional Manager and Registered Manager regarding your comments. We will take on board all opportunities for improvements where your comments have been accurate. I remain very sorry that we did...
They are amazing at supporting families through difficult times/situations that arise.
Thank you for your lovely feedback, my colleagues in Rose will be delighted to read them. They are all so genuinely caring and warm folk, they're definitely in the right roles. My best wishes to you and thanks again.
Everything about this home is inviting, warm and welcoming. There are always plenty of staff who are attentive and engaged with the residents' needs. The activities team are always coming up with new and inventive activities for the residents. I would recommend this Care Home to anyone.

The staff at Rose Garden are very supportive, professional and caring. Quality of food is excellent. Liaison with the families is also very good and any concerns or issues are dealt with promptly.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We really appreciate your comments, the team will be delighted to read this very positive review. Thanks again, best wishes.
Dad is well looked after and cared for by everyone at Rose Garden.
Thank you for your review, we appreciate it greatly when family members take the time to give us feedback. I am delighted to read that you're pleased with the service, the Rose Garden team is very warm, as well as capable and very committed. Thank you, with my very best wishes.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Rose Gardens for a couple of months. All the staff are very attentive and gentle and always very accommodating. Today we celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday in the Concord room. The staff decorated the room and provided cake and a buffet. It has been a lovely afternoon in a perfect setting, so lovely the family could mark the occasion in a private setting.
That was a great celebration, congratulations to your family as well as your mother-in-law. Gentle is a very good word to describe the Rose team, they're so compassionate and kind and it really makes everyone feel special. Thanks for your review, it's greatly appreciated, best wishes.
The place itself is excellent and all the staff are really friendly and helpful. I can't praise the place enough, all the staff are worth their weight in gold if anyone is in the sad position of looking for a care home, don't look any further they don't come any better than this.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your review, it is greatly appreciated. I am so delighted to read that you're happy with our care and service. My colleagues in Rose Garden are fantastic! They're always patient and respectful as well as obviously being very capable. It's a great team and that is what makes Rose Garden such a lovely place to be. With my very best wishes.
My grandmother (Nan) was discharged from the hospital with inaccurate documentation, regarding her full care requirements. Moving forwards, in particular, failing to advise Rose Garden of her one-to-one care being required, at the admittance stage to Rose Garden and their team. One particular member of staff and the amazing team promptly and professionally helped us as a family, to make us all feel settled and trusting in their care for Nan. The lovely staff are kind, caring and person-centred. They put Nan's needs, to having a good quality life, at first. My nan is treated with respect and dignity, even when she is being challenging at times! The variety and choices of meals are fantastic. The activities put on are meaningful and fulfilling to each individual. Rose Garden has a lovely homely feel and is very clean and tidy (no unpleasant smells). We are over the moon with the care Nan has been given so far. We can finally feel happy that Nan is being well looked after.
Hello, Oh it's so lovely to read that we're getting the support right for your family as well as your much loved Nan. That's our goal, to support and serve with the family to provide a full network with the resident in the centre. Rose Garden is a nice home, it's modern and bright and that helps...
My mum has been a resident at Rose Gardens for 4 years. She celebrated her 90th birthday on May 12th with the help of the manager, the lady from Olive Tree and the social events organiser who decorated the venue beforehand, nothing was too much trouble for her. Will definitely be a day remembered by all the family. Thank you again to the manager for all your input - you were amazing! A very professional, kind and caring manager for Rose Gardens.
Hello, thank you for providing your feedback. I am delighted to read we celebrated your Mum's birthday well and helped the family to share new memories. Our Manager is tremendous and leads a committed, happy, capable team and that is what makes the difference. Thanks for taking the time to share your views. My best wishes to your family.
My husband has to wait a long time to be put on the toilet then has to wait a long time to be taken off due to them being too busy. His food is not very hot, especially drinks which are cold when they arrive and drinks are not very frequent. The staff are mostly foreign and cannot understand what he says to them. He doesn't have dementia.
Thank you for giving us your feedback. I am so sorry to read that we've caused you and your husband discomfort, that's clearly the last thing we want to do. We will use your feedback to check the service and to improve our standards, thank you for helping us with that. I am very pleased you've told us about these matters, thank you very much. With my best wishes, Helen
The rooms are light, bright and airy, with a communal area at one end of the building and seating areas along the corridor if residents want to sit quietly on their own.
However, the main appeal is the staff. They are an amazing team of people. They work hard to make everyone feel at home and cared for. They take a real interest in the residents and their families. Nothing is too much trouble, and we are so appreciative of their care, experience and expertise. We know that Dad could not be in a better place than Rose Garden.
Hello, I absolutely loved reading your comments, thank you. You have really captured the essence of Rose Garden with your comments about the staff. Our Rose Garden colleagues are always upbeat and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble for them, and it's so great to see. They love the residents,...

With a nursing career spanning 44 years Rose Garden are fortunate to have such an experienced Deputy Manager with Leonie. Leonie began her career in Australia as a hospital trained nurse, then going onto university and completing a Bachelor of Nursing when the nursing degree was introduced in the 1990s.
Leonie has worked in elderly care since the early 2000s initially as a clinical nurse and then moving onto management roles. When Leonie moved to the UK in 2022 she wanted to continue working with older people and is greatly enjoying working in the care sector here in the UK. Leonie started as the Clinical Manager for both Olive Tree House and Rose Garden before progressing to Deputy Manager of Rose Garden.
Leonie’s move to the UK was to be with her two daughters and five grandchildren and she is loving spending time with her family and being here to watch her grandchildren grow up.

Paul has joined Allegra Care with 27 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, including working in senior leadership roles for the last 18 years, covering operations, business management and quality assurance. Paul has a real passion for person-centred care and how that is delivered at the highest level.
Paul has worked across a diverse sector over his time in health and social care and brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Regional Manager. Paul believes in integrating real and meaningful values and culture into a service and in doing so, delivering the outcomes for the people we support. Paul goes by the theory of values with no meaning, which has no value.
Outside of work, Paul is the father of three boys and a 2nd degree black belt who teaches Judo.

Catherine has worked in sales and marketing her whole career, after graduating with a degree in Textile Management she worked in Corporate Workwear for many years. Catherine’s first role in the care sector was working with a disability charity that ran nursing homes and enablement projects for young adults. While her two children were younger, she joined her husband in his estate agency, but was delighted to return to the care sector in 2020 and now cannot imagine doing anything else.
Catherine’s role with Allegra is to support residents and their families as they explore care options. Working with the teams in the individual homes she ensures that during every stage from initial enquiry through to moving in with us every question is answered, and we offer the reassurance needed for the next chapter in our resident’s life. It is important for our residents to remain part of the community in which will have lived for years, often all their lives, so the other part of this role is connecting with local community groups, charities and organisations.
Catherine has said that working for Allegra with their groundbreaking household model means we are offering a home with compassion and care whilst ensuring residents are retaining their independence and quality of life.
Out of work, Catherine enjoys baking, gardening and walking the family Labrador. The children are older now, but still keep her busy!
