View Full Details of Rose GardenMy dad was in Rose Garden for a period of 5 weeks for assessment on discharge from hospital. Those 5 weeks did his health absolutely no good at all! Firstly I would say the carer's do a good job but are obviously under staffed there seemed to be on average of 3 carers to a floor of 20 patients 90% of whom seemed to be bed bound. The nursing care on the other hand is not great! My dad suffered some sort of episode while in the home & I expressed my concern to the nursing staff over a couple of days to be told his 'obs' were fine. On the 3rd day I ended up having to call the GP that covered the home myself who pescribed antibiotics for him. They also failed to conduct & submit a requested CHC assessment correctly. The food is truly awful & always not very warm. My dad lost 12lbs in a period of 4 weeks so I ended up taking my own food in for him!
Lovely, welcoming, approachable and friendly staff. Fantastic overall care given to residents and the staff are very open to suggestions and giving advise. They are amazing at supporting families through difficult times/situations that arise.
Everything about this home is inviting, warm and welcoming. There are always plenty of staff who are attentive and engaged with the residents' needs. The activities team are always coming up with new and inventive activities for the residents. I would recommend this Care Home to anyone.
The staff at Rose Garden are very supportive, professional and caring. Quality of food is excellent. Liaison with the families is also very good and any concerns or issues are dealt with promptly.
Dad is well looked after and cared for by everyone at Rose Garden.
Considering the often challenging behaviour that Mum displays, the staff and management of Rose Garden always demonstrate care, compassion and professionalism. The activities provided are good and varied. It feels more like a community than a care home made up of individual rooms.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Rose Gardens for a couple of months. All the staff are very attentive and gentle and always very accommodating. Today we celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday in the Concord room. The staff decorated the room and provided cake and a buffet. It has been a lovely afternoon in a perfect setting, so lovely the family could mark the occasion in a private setting.
My Father has been at Rose Garden for five years and I can't fault the treatment. He is not the easiest person to look after but all the staff have been wonderful with him. The place itself is excellent and all the staff are really friendly and helpful. I can't praise the place enough, all the staff are worth their weight in gold if anyone is in the sad position of looking for a care home, don't look any further they don't come any better than this.
My grandmother (Nan) was discharged from the hospital with inaccurate documentation, regarding her full care requirements. Moving forwards, in particular, failing to advise Rose Garden of her one-to-one care being required, at the admittance stage to Rose Garden and their team. One particular member of staff and the amazing team promptly and professionally helped us as a family, to make us all feel settled and trusting in their care for Nan. The lovely staff are kind, caring and person-centred. They put Nan's needs, to having a good quality life, at first. My nan is treated with respect and dignity, even when she is being challenging at times! The variety and choices of meals are fantastic. The activities put on are meaningful and fulfilling to each individual. Rose Garden has a lovely homely feel and is very clean and tidy (no unpleasant smells). We are over the moon with the care Nan has been given so far. We can finally feel happy that Nan is being well looked after.
My mum has been a resident at Rose Gardens for 4 years. She celebrated her 90th birthday on May 12th with the help of the manager, the lady from Olive Tree and the social events organiser who decorated the venue beforehand, nothing was too much trouble for her. Will definitely be a day remembered by all the family. Thank you again to the manager for all your input - you were amazing! A very professional, kind and caring manager for Rose Gardens.
My husband has to wait a long time to be put on the toilet then has to wait a long time to be taken off due to them being too busy. His food is not very hot, especially drinks which are cold when they arrive and drinks are not very frequent. The staff are mostly foreign and cannot understand what he says to them. He doesn't have dementia.
I don't think there is enough space here to list all the wonderful qualities of the Rose Garden. It is a purpose-built, intelligently laid out building with ample parking underground, as well as in the courtyard(which has a few disabled bays). The rooms are light, bright and airy, with a communal area at one end of the building and seating areas along the corridor if residents want to sit quietly on their own. However, the main appeal is the staff. They are an amazing team of people. They work hard to make everyone feel at home and cared for. They take a real interest in the residents and their families. Nothing is too much trouble, and we are so appreciative of their care, experience and expertise. We know that Dad could not be in a better place than Rose Garden.
Staff seemed very pleasant and patient. Room was clean. Bathroom was excellent. Patient was treated with dignity.
Home from home! All staff are very caring, considerate and go out of their way to make Mum's life extremely pleasant. Nothing is too much trouble! I believe she is in good hands.
Good experience, nurses are very hard workers, 12-hour shifts, doing anything the best they can to help you. If you need anything, the staff will get it. Feeling poorly, they look after you and give you one hundred per cent. Medication is always on time and at the right time every day. Bedrooms are hygienic, modern and quiet. I found it a good place where I could get better.
Very good staff. Food is excellent.
Care staff and nursery staff (ancillary staff) are all very caring and show compassion to my father. Very pleased with the care my father is being given and supported him will in ensuring he settled.
I have had no complaints since my husband has been in Rose Garden. The care has been excellent and he is happy. If there are any problems they contact me.
Overall, my husband's care is very good, staff are always very willing to do whatever is asked of them. The fact that due to COVID we are unable to see him in the dining room, which I'm sure would benefit him and some of the other residnets who don't have many visitors.
When I visit my dad he always seems comfortable and well looked after. He is settled and content and I wouldn't want to move him anywhere else.
