Good activities planned at the day centre. Very attentative and compasionate to all residents and day centre clients. Lots of various activities scheduled from singers to falconry displays to floor activities where they hire people to come in.

I just wanted to say how amazing the management and staff are at Magdalen House. It was my son's 50th birthday and they went above and beyond to make sure he had a very special day. They allowed us as a family to celebrate with him and made us all very welcome. They supplied a lovely afternoon tea and cake for my son which was really appreciated by all of us and presents from the home. I couldn't wish for a better care home for my son. Thank you everyone.

I couldn't be happier that my dad lives in Magdalen House. It's a friendly, professionally run place, full of people who care. They treat him with utter respect, ensure he eats properly, encourage him to take part in activities and, if it's needed, make sure he's seen by a doctor. I would absolutely recommend it, without reservation.

This last Saturday, members of the family visited our aging parents to celebrate their wedding anniversary (73 years!) and our father's forthcoming 95th birthday (on the Sunday). In advance I had asked, Kirsty, Care Home Manager, whether there was somewhere we might be able to have a family lunch together; and was expecting that to be a table in the ground floor dining area. Imagine our surprise and delight when we were informed that provision had been made for us utilising the 3rd floor cinema room. Not only that, but the room and table had been decorated with Birthday and Anniversary bunting. This was all perfect for our use and on behalf of both resident parents and all the family I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kirsty and her staff in going out of your way to make the occasion special for them. I also understand that a birthday cake was presented on the Sunday. Perfect! Thanks again. Best wishes

Mum is always encouraged to join in with activities and socialise with the other residents.

From our initial contact with the manager and her team we felt confident, listened to and reassured that an important family member was going to get the care, love and attention that they required. The communication we have already had in addition to the actions we have witnessed from the team confirmed our initial and first impressions. This care home goes above and beyond and is simply outstanding.

The care my friend has received since going to day care at Magdalen House is phenomenal. She is happy, engaged, and more confident. The staff are brilliant. I drop her off and know I don't have to worry. Thank you.

Sometimes delay in response to bed bell

Whilst visiting friends we were impressed by the friendliness of the staff. The cleanliness and general atmosphere in the home. Security was good.

Overall experience resoundingly positive. Staff lovely and very attentive to needs of residents, treating them with dignity and respect. Organised activities very good, in particular 'alpaca day' was quite extraordinary! For me it was quite emotional to see the positive effect that this had on many of the residents, in particular my own mother. When Mother's health took a turn for the worse, the immediate response was admirable. A few minor shortcomings, but when brought to attention of management these were effectively dealt with. Big thank you.

I am very impressed with the enrichment activities my mother gets to enjoy at Magdalen House. The staff always treat her with dignity and a friendly, warm manner. She clearly feels settled and cared for and her hygiene and personal care is always very good.

Mum came to live at Magdalen House Care Home in January. I cared for her at home and was extremely anxious about leaving her with anyone. I am so happy to say that she has settled in very quickly and is extremely well looked after in every way. I am totally reassured that she is absolutely fine here. All of the staff are exemplary and I couldn't wish for more.
