Thank you for your valuable feedback, which helps us to continually make improvements where necessary to improve the service that we provide to residents. I would like to provide some reassurance on your comment about drinks - staff check residents regularly to ensure they have sufficient drinks. Residents who are fluids-challenged have fluid intake charts in place for staff to monitor their intake. Staff ensure all our residents have a call bell at reach for them to summon help if needed, and all residents are checked regularly to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being. However, if you have any concerns about the care of your loved one, my door is always open. Please come and find me anytime, or alternatively, you can make an appointment through reception, and I would be more than happy to discuss, and hopefully alleviate, any worries that you might have.
Thank you for your review. We take all feedback very seriously as it helps us to continually make improvements and ensure that our residents receive the best care and level of service. We were shocked to read that you found a toilet seat was missing, and if this remains the case, we agree that it is not acceptable. As such, we have asked our housekeeping team to double-check every room’s ensuite and curtains to ensure that any issues have already been rectified. If an aspect needs attention, it will be reported immediately to the maintenance manager to make certain that every room is up to standard. Thank you again for your valuable feedback.

Originally from Romania, where she got her nursing degree, Alina moved to the UK in 2008 and worked as a care team leader in a residential care home whilst waiting for her NMC registration.
In 2013, Alina got her PIN and was able to start her UK Nursing career. Alina worked for one of the largest care home providers in the South West before moving to Fairmile Grange in 2019, where she initially worked as a registered nurse, progressing to Senior nurse and then Clinical Lead. Throughout my time at Fairmile, Alina enjoyed the opportunity to develop new skills and work with residents with dementia..
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Alina and her team proudly worked closely together to keep COVID out of the home and provide a family atmosphere regardless of the increased pressures.
Since becoming Clinical Lead, Alina has become more involved in the management of the team, overseeing staff training, clinical auditing and ensuring all residents receive the highest quality of person-centred care.
Alina is an incredibly positive person, always looking for positive outcomes and enjoys seeing what each day brings to Fairmile and how she can ensure that each day is good for everyone.
Zoe has worked in elderly care since 2017, beginning as a health care assistant and progressing up to a deputy manager. Prior to becoming deputy manager at Fairmile Grange, Zoe was a project coordinator supporting a group of care homes and their managers and staff, helping them to utilise their care planning systems and helping them to improve quality and care standards within their homes by delivering hands-on training and developing resources for all roles using electronic care planning systems.
Zoe continued to develop her career, becoming interim manager at Fairmile Grange before her current role as Deputy Manager.
As a deputy manager at Fairmile Grange, Zoe finds immense satisfaction in supporting the well-being and independence of residents while fostering a positive and nurturing environment for both staff and residents. Zoe genuinely enjoys knowing that her work directly impacts the lives of the residents, allowing them to live their best lives. Zoe loves being a part of a team that creates a supportive and caring atmosphere where residents feel safe, valued, and respected. Zoe also finds it rewarding to mentor and support her team, helping them grow professionally and ensuring they have the resources and training they need to provide excellent care.
The care sector is constantly evolving, so I appreciate the opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge to improve her practice and the quality of care provided at Fairmile Grange.
Zoe has built strong relationships with residents, their families, and her colleagues. One of the most rewarding aspects of the role of a deputy is witnessing residents achieve their goals and celebrate their successes, whether it's learning a new skill, participating in an activity, or simply enjoying a peaceful afternoon. Zoe is proud to work alongside a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about care and making a difference in people's lives.
Karen began her successful career as a receptionist working for an Estate Agent. Having developed a taste for the admin side of the business, she later left the estate agents to pursue a career working as an admin assistant at Bovington Army Camp, where she worked for 3 years, developing the skills that she would use throughout her career.
The next step in Karen’s career was in social services, where she worked for 11 years as Child Protection Admin Officer for Poole’s Children’s Social Services. Following this, Karen spent some quality time at home bringing up her 3 children before returning to work, running her own domestic cleaning business for 3 years.
In 2021, Karen decided to come back into an admin role and joined Fairmile Grange, where, through dedication and a determined effort to always do her best, she worked her way up from home support to Admin Manager where she has proved to be a much-valued part of the team.
After working for 14 years as a renal nurse specialist, Jacqui changed her career to be around more for her young children.
