My Aunt arrived straight from Bournemouth Hospital together with an end of life care plan in December 2016. It is a magnificent
Many staff were involved in my Aunt’s care. On every visit, I always received a gloriously warm and uplifting welcome from the receptionist. If it were permissible I would love to acknowledge all of the nursing and care staff by name. It is a measure of the heartfelt family approach that five of the Fairmile Grange staff attended my Aunt’s funeral in Bournemouth yesterday.
I can recommend Fairmile Grange without reservation as the perfect Care Home for your loved one.
Thank you for your comments. We always value and encourage relatives’ and residents’ feedback, as it helps us to continue to make improvements and strive to deliver the best service that we can. I am very sorry to hear that you do not feel the care your loved one received in the two days she was with us was acceptable. We appreciate the letters you have sent us to explain the reasons why, and as you are aware, we have now completed a full and rigorous investigation into the concerns you have raised. We have liaised with the Care Commissioning Group (CCG) and the Local Authority Safeguarding Team on this matter who have confirmed that they are content for us to undertake this investigation internally. We have written to you with our findings and as discussed are more than happy to meet face-to-face if you feel this would be beneficial. Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your feedback and assure you that we will use it as an opportunity to learn and develop in any way that we can.
Thank you very much for your comments. We enjoyed having your husband stay with us and were all so pleased with the progress he made whilst in our care. Thank you for rating many aspects of Fairmile Grange as being good or excellent. Our residents’ wellbeing and care is our priority. We only employ the kindest and most dedicated staff, however, on occasion when there are staff absences through sickness that clash with booked annual leave, we have brought in agency staff to support our care teams, ensuring our residents remain safe and cared for. The issue of cold plates for hot dishes has been addressed and shouldn’t happen again. Thanks again for your positive and honest review.

Zoe has worked in elderly care since 2017, beginning as a health care assistant and progressing up to a deputy manager. Prior to becoming deputy manager at Fairmile Grange, Zoe was a project coordinator supporting a group of care homes and their managers and staff, helping them to utilise their care planning systems and helping them to improve quality and care standards within their homes by delivering hands-on training and developing resources for all roles using electronic care planning systems.
Zoe continued to develop her career, becoming interim manager at Fairmile Grange before her current role as Deputy Manager.
As a deputy manager at Fairmile Grange, Zoe finds immense satisfaction in supporting the well-being and independence of residents while fostering a positive and nurturing environment for both staff and residents. Zoe genuinely enjoys knowing that her work directly impacts the lives of the residents, allowing them to live their best lives. Having developed a taste for the admin side of the business, she later left the estate agents to pursue a career working as an admin assistant at Bovington Army Camp, where she worked for 3 years, developing the skills that she would use throughout her career.
The next step in Karen’s career was in social services, where she worked for 11 years as Child Protection Admin Officer for Poole’s Children’s Social Services. Following this, Karen spent some quality time at home bringing up her 3 children before returning to work, running her own domestic cleaning business for 3 years.
In 2021, Karen decided to come back into an admin role and joined Fairmile Grange, where, through dedication and a determined effort to always do her best, she worked her way up from home support to Admin Manager where she has proved to be a much-valued part of the team.
