Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring efficient workflow
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Prepare, cook, and present food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food production meets safety and hygiene regulations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control and ordering of supplies
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Support in developing new menu items and culinary innovations
- Enforce health and safety policies within the kitchen to minimise risks
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive food production, preparation, and cooking skills
- Strong team management capabilities with leadership qualities
- Solid background in food safety standards and procedures
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food presentation, serving techniques, and culinary trends
