About the role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Carer to join our night team at Passmonds House, a warm and person-centred care home in Rochdale. As a senior member of the night shift, you will lead by example, support and guide junior care staff, and ensure the comfort, safety and dignity of all our residents throughout the night.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of care staff during night shifts, acting as the senior point of contact
Deliver high-quality personal care to residents in line with individual care plans
Administer medication in accordance with care home policy and NMC/CQC guidelines
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and care documentation
Respond calmly and appropriately to any incidents or emergencies during the night
Carry out regular well-being checks on all residents throughout the shift
Liaise effectively with day staff at handover to ensure continuity of care
What we're looking for
NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards), or equivalent experience
Previous experience in a care home or residential setting, ideally at senior or supervisory level
Medication administration competence (training provided if needed)
Strong leadership skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
A genuine passion for delivering compassionate, dignified care
Willingness to work night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis
Enhanced DBS disclosure (we will assist with this if not held)
