We are currently seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team, working 35 hours per week.
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will work alongside a team of committed Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents. You will play an important role in promoting residents' independence, dignity, wellbeing, and quality of life while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with their personal care needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Support residents with mobility difficulties and physical disabilities, including the safe use and care of mobility aids and personal equipment.
- Provide assistance to residents who require support with personal hygiene, including continence care.
- Carry out regular checks on residents and the care home environment in conjunction with Care Assistants, with particular attention to health, safety, and fire prevention procedures.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and be aware of their whereabouts when away from their bedrooms.
- Report any concerns regarding residents' health, welfare, or safety to the appropriate person.
- Promote residents' independence while providing compassionate and responsive support.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and caring environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.
- Support and guide Care Assistants as required, acting as a positive role model within the team.
- Manage the shift.
- Administer medications.

- Previous experience in a care setting, ideally within residential, dementia, or nursing care.
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Understanding of safeguarding, dignity, and respect in care practice.

Skills / Qualifications:
- * • Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in social care level 3 or other relevant qualification
- • Experience in creating and updating care plans.

- • Good communication skills to liaise with healthcare professionals.
