Job summary
St. Joseph's Nursing Home is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout our home.
About the Role
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas of the home are maintained to an exceptional standard. You will support and guide the housekeeping team while promoting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
The role includes one supernumerary day per week, allowing dedicated time for supervision, audits, staff support, training, stock management, and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably within a care home, healthcare, hotel, or similar environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience is desirable.
- Good understanding of infection prevention and control practices.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high standards.
