We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Carer who shares our passion for person-centred care and can inspire others to deliver outstanding support every day.
The Role
As a Senior Carer, you will play a vital leadership role within our care team, ensuring residents receive high-quality, dignified, and compassionate care. You will lead by example, support and mentor colleagues, and help create a positive environment where residents, families, and team members feel welcomed and valued.
You will work closely with the management team to ensure care is delivered in line with best practice, company policies, and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
- Lead, support, and mentor care team members, ensuring excellent standards of care are maintained at all times.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, creating a warm and supportive environment.
- Administer and monitor medication safely in line with policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate care records, care plans, and documentation.
- Support resident wellbeing through meaningful activities, engagement, and individualised care.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding requirements, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Work closely with the management team and Nurses to continuously improve the quality of care and resident experience.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a senior care or team leader role within a residential or nursing care setting.
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
- Strong understanding of person-centred care principles.
- Experience administering medication.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
