Care Assistant: Days and Nights Needed
Lilleybrook Care Home is looking for three caring, reliable and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team on a full time basis. Day and night positions are available.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are committed to supporting residents with dignity, kindness and respect. The successful candidates will work as part of the care team to help provide high quality care and support to residents, promoting their wellbeing, independence and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care and Support
Support residents with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.
Assist residents with daily living tasks, including washing, dressing, mobility and mealtimes.
Encourage residents to maintain as much independence as possible.
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
Resident Wellbeing
Help create a warm, safe and supportive environment for residents.
Promote residents’ dignity, privacy, choice and individuality at all times.
Support residents to take part in activities and social opportunities where appropriate.
Report any changes in a resident’s health, wellbeing or behaviour to the senior care team.
Care Plans and Communication
Follow individual care plans and support residents according to their assessed needs.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, relatives, visitors and colleagues.
Record care provided accurately and in line with company procedures.
Work closely with the senior care team and other colleagues to ensure residents receive consistent care.
Health and Safety
Follow health and safety procedures within the home.
Promote safe working practices at all times.
Report any accidents, concerns, hazards or faulty equipment to the appropriate person.
Follow infection control, safeguarding, emergency and fire procedures as required.
Training and Development
Attend mandatory training as required.
Maintain and develop professional knowledge and competence.
Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
General Duties
Help maintain the good reputation of Lilleybrook Care Home.
Treat all information gained during work as confidential.
Support colleagues and contribute to a positive working environment.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Home Manager or Person in Charge.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are kind, patient, dependable and able to work well as part of a team. You should have a caring attitude, good communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting older people.
Previous care experience is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidates.
