The Role – Care Assistant / Care Companion

We are looking for an experienced Care Assistant (Care Companion) to join our friendly team at The Grove Care Home.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver person-centred care to residents
• Support elderly care, wellbeing, and independence
• Build meaningful relationships based on companionship and trust
• Assist with daily living activities in a residential care setting
• Work collaboratively within a supportive care team

Hours: 36 hours per week (day shifts)

Shifts & Work–Life Balance

• Day shifts available (Care Assistant Day shifts)
• Typical shift patterns:
  • 8:00am – 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm – 8:00pm
  • 8:00am – 8:00pm (long day)
• Alternate weekends

About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Has experience in care homes, residential care, or elderly care
• Is passionate about person-centred care and dementia care
• Is kind, compassionate, and respectful
• Has excellent communication skills
• Is comfortable using basic IT systems
• Works well as part of a team
