We're looking for a caring, dependable and compassionate Waking Night Care Assistant to join our established team.

Whilst most people are settling down for the evening, our night team is helping residents feel safe, comfortable and supported throughout the night. It's a role that requires kindness, reliability and a genuine commitment to caring for others.

About the Role

As a Waking Night Care Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring residents receive high-quality care and support throughout the night.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting residents with personal care and wellbeing needs
• Carrying out regular welfare checks
• Responding promptly to call bells and resident requests
• Providing reassurance and emotional support
• Supporting residents who may be awake during the night
• Maintaining accurate care records
• Assisting with early morning routines
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of care

? Has good communication skills

? Can confidently support residents during the night

? Can commit to the advertised 3 on / 3 off rota pattern

Experience supporting older people or individuals living with dementia would be beneficial but is not essential.

Location & Travel

Towy Castle Care Home is located near Carmarthen and is commutable from Llanelli, Ammanford, Llandeilo, Cross Hands, Kidwelly, St Clears, Whitland and surrounding areas.

Due to the rural location of the home and limited public transport availability during night-time hours, applicants should be able to travel reliably to and from Towy Castle Care Home for all shifts.

Important Information

This role works a permanent 10:00pm–8:00am shift pattern on a 3 nights on / 3 nights off rolling rota, including weekends and bank holidays.

All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references.
