Night Care Assistant

Job summary

We are looking for a part-time Night Care Assistant, the working hours are between 8pm to 8am (12 hours) one night per week. We are interested in staff who will go the extra mile to put smiles on residents' faces and are good at working with other team colleagues.

• Provide compassionate and personalised care to individuals in the care home.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting to the toilet.
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
• Serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences –
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
• Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as needed - Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals and update care plans and risk assessments as and when needed
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients

Person specification

• To build good working relationships within the team.
• Experience of medication administration.
• Communicating clearly and effectively with the staff team, families, and other professionals to ensure that the residents receive the best possible provision of care
• Good communication skills
• Good attention to detail.
• Commitment to own professional and personal development.

We provide an employee assistance programme which is provided by BUPA and provides a listening ear 24 hours of the day to provide support to our staff. There is a free meal when you work a 12 hour shift.
