Join Our Team at Thomas Knight Care Home
Are you a kind, compassionate person who wants to make a real difference every day, or every night?
At Thomas Knight Care Home, part of the Distinguished Care family, we believe outstanding care begins with people who genuinely care. As a family-owned, values-led care provider, we're proud to create a warm, welcoming home where residents feel valued, respected and supported to live life to the fullest.
We're currently looking for caring, dedicated individuals to join our team on both day and night shifts. Whether you enjoy the busy, sociable pace of the day or the calm reassurance of supporting residents through the night, you'll play an important role in helping people feel safe, comfortable and cared for.
About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you'll support residents with kindness, dignity and respect, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their individual needs are met. Working alongside our experienced Senior Carers and Nurses, you'll provide person-centred care that promotes physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
Every shift brings opportunities to build meaningful relationships, offer comfort and companionship, and make a genuine difference in someone's day—or night.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each resident.
- Support residents with personal care, mobility and daily living activities while encouraging independence.
- Assist residents in achieving rehabilitation and wellbeing goals in line with their care plans.
- Promote residents' emotional wellbeing, hobbies, interests and social connections.
- Communicate effectively with residents, relatives and the wider care team.
- Maintain accurate care records and report any changes in residents' health or wellbeing.
- Help create a safe, welcoming and homely environment.
- Treat every resident with kindness, dignity, compassion and respect.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are:
- Warm, caring and compassionate.
- Reliable, positive and approachable.
- Great communicators who enjoy working as part of a team.
- Respectful of each resident's dignity, privacy and choices.
- Passionate about making a positive difference.
- Eager to learn and develop through training and support.
Previous care experience is welcomed but isn't essential. If you have the right values and a caring nature, we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.
Why Join Thomas Knight Care Home?
At Thomas Knight, we know our people are at the heart of everything we do. When you join us, you'll become part of a supportive team where your contribution is valued, and your development is encouraged.
We offer:
- Competitive pay of £13.45 per hour.
- Flexible opportunities on day and night shifts.
- A comprehensive induction and ongoing training.
- Support to complete the Care Certificate.
- Career progression opportunities across the Distinguished Care group.
- A friendly, supportive and values-led working environment.
- The opportunity to make a lasting difference to residents and their families every single day.
If you're looking for a rewarding career where kindness matters and every shift has purpose, we'd love to hear from you.
