Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within  a care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support individuals with mobility and daily routines, promoting independence where possible.
  • Follow personalised care plans to meet each resident’s specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure holistic care.
  • Support with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with light domestic duties such as laundry and tidying personal spaces.
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting hazards promptly.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a caring environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits.
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple residents’ needs efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required.

Skills / Qualifications:
