What You’ll Be Doing
As Unit Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding care and supporting those around you. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the unit, ensuring consistently high standards of person-centred care.
- Leading, motivating, and developing a committed care team.
- Ensuring care plans and documentation are accurate, up to date, and truly reflect residents’ needs.
- Managing staffing levels, rotas, and shift coordination effectively.
- Maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations, policies, and best practice.
- Acting as a visible role model, promoting excellence in care.
- Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision, and ongoing staff development.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, senior management, and external professionals.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and heart to the role:
- Experience in a senior care position (e.g. Unit Manager, Senior Nurse, Senior Carer or similar).
- A recognised qualification in Health & Social Care (NVQ Level 3/4/5 or NMC registration – desirable).
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- A compassionate, professional approach with a passion for delivering high-quality care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and maintain high standards in a busy environment.
