Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic /Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for all residents, visitors and staff. Previous experience working in a care home is considered an advantage, reflecting the importance of delivering exceptional service and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where your efforts contribute directly to the comfort and satisfaction of our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise residents rooms, communal areas, and facilities according to established standards
  • Ensure all surfaces are dust-free, floors are swept and mopped, and waste is disposed of appropriately
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly for repair
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe environment
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition and stock inventory as needed
  • Laundry duties including washing, drying, folding and transporting residents clothes. In addition, you will be responsible for washing, drying, folding linen/towels (When scheduled to work in the Laundry)
  • Support other team members with additional tasks to ensure smooth daily operations

Please note this role has various hours available to suit all candidates from 0 hour contracts upwards.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Care Home environment is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with cleaning procedures

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
