Pay: £13.20 per hour

Engagement:  Zero Hours (BANK)

What will you be doing:

  • Carry out routine maintenance, repairs and decorating throughout the home.
  • Complete regular checks in line with Oakland Care's Health and Safety, Emergency and Fire policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, fixtures and fittings.
  • Make sure gardens, grounds and outdoor areas are safe and well-preserved.
  • Assist with planned maintenance programmes and contractor visits.
  • Perform basic plumbing, painting, carpentry and general maintenance tasks.
  • Support with keeping accurate maintenance and safety records.

What you need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in a similar maintenance, caretaking or facilities role.
  • Possess good practical skills across a range of maintenance duties.
  • Understand Health and Safety requirements within a workplace setting.
  • Is proactive, organised and able to work independently as well as being a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoys working with older people.
  • Takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
