Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join
our professional kitchen team, within our care home. The successful
candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes,
maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall culinary
operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals
with a passion for cooking and experience in a fast-paced restaurant
environment to develop their skills further.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with the menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in the organisation of kitchen operations during service periods
- Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Support junior kitchen staff as needed, providing guidance on food preparation techniques
- Contribute to menu development ideas based on current culinary trends and customer preferences
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Excellent skills in meal preparation and presentation
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is desirable
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
