We're looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and people-focused Activities & Wellbeing Manager to lead our dedicated Activities Team and help shape an outstanding resident experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either:
- An experienced Activity Coordinator ready to take the next step into management, or
- A Senior Carer or Care Team Leader looking to diversify their career within the care home sector.
As our Activities & Wellbeing Manager, you'll lead a team of 4-5 colleagues who deliver engaging activities, meaningful wellbeing programmes and community events that enrich the lives of all our residents.
Importantly, you'll ensure that every resident is included – from those who enjoy a busy social calendar to those who may be more isolated, living with dementia, or require a more personalised approach to engagement.
What You'll Be Doing- Leading, motivating and developing a team of Activities Coordinators.
- Creating and overseeing a varied programme of activities, events and wellbeing experiences.
- Ensuring meaningful engagement opportunities are available for every resident, regardless of their interests, abilities or social confidence.
- Building strong relationships with local community groups, schools, charities and volunteers.
- Identifying new opportunities to bring the wider community into the home.
- Planning seasonal events, celebrations and special experiences for residents and families.
- Managing activity budgets, resources and schedules effectively.
- Developing a strong social media presence that showcases life in the home and celebrates resident achievements.
- Using IT systems confidently to plan, organise, communicate and report on activity delivery.
We're seeking someone with genuine energy, creativity and leadership skills who can inspire both residents and colleagues.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within a care home, health and social care, wellbeing or activities environment.
- Proven experience leading, supervising or managing a team.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
- A passion for person-centred care and improving quality of life.
- The confidence to engage with residents, relatives, staff and external community partners.
- A positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
This is a role where you'll make a visible difference every day.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Shape the wellbeing culture of the home.
- Develop and mentor your own team.
- Build meaningful community partnerships.
- Bring new ideas and creativity to resident life.
- Help create memorable experiences that improve wellbeing, connection and happiness.
If you're passionate about leading people, building community connections and creating exceptional resident experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and help us make every day meaningful for our residents.
