Agency Chef – Care Home (77 Residents)

Location: Keromina Agency at St Georges Care Centre, Moorside, Oldham, OL1 4RU

This role is for an Agency chef to work for Keromina Agency that supports St Georges Care Centre

Paid induction and update training (all in-house)

Free on-site parking

We are not offering sponsorships

What you’ll do

Provide cover for our regular chef and lead the kitchen team.

Prepare meals for a range of dietary needs, keep the kitchen running smoothly, and make sure everything meets top hygiene standards.

Help plan and cook meals that meet residents’ dietary needs, e.g soft, pureed, etc. 

Support and guide kitchen staff. 

Keep our kitchen safe, clean, and organised.

Assist with stock control and menu planning. 

Experience

Previous experience of working in a care home kitchen environment is essential.

Requirements

Food Hygiene Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

Experience of producing modified foods is a must-have requirement

Right to work in the UK. You will need to provide a valid share code.

Transferable DBS (we can apply for one if you do not have this. You will pay a contribution towards the cost of this).

Typical shifts

7 am - 5.30 pm = 10.5hrs

7 am - 1 pm = 6 hrs

11.30 am - 5.30 pm = 6 hrs

Including weekends and bank holidays

Hourly rate

£negotiable depending on experience + bank holiday enhancements
