Lilleybrook Care Home is looking for a reliable and caring Domestic Assistant to join our team.
You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home, ensuring residents have a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.
Your main duties will include:
- Cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing
- Emptying and cleaning waste bins
- Deep-cleaning designated areas when required
- Restocking toiletries, towels and cleaning supplies
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely
- Following infection-control, health and safety, safeguarding and waste-disposal procedures
- Reporting hazards, damaged equipment or maintenance concerns
- Completing relevant cleaning records and documentation
- Working closely with the Housekeeper and wider care-home team
The successful applicant will be dependable, respectful and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous cleaning or care-home experience is desirable, but not essential, as appropriate training will be provided.
The role is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
