?? Summary of duties

Ensure our residents are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their well-being.

Undertake the Care Planning activities for our Residents.

Ensure Care Plans are developed in collaboration.

Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements.

Provide leadership to the care and nursing functions of our Home.

Provide nursing care in accordance with current best practice.

Be registered with the NMC and work within the Code of Conduct.

Comply with NMC requirements for revalidation every three years.

Obtaining confirming evidence of continued adherence to the NMC codes of practice.
Specific Responsibilities

Clinical Care Delivery: Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, including wound care, monitoring vital signs, and managing long-term health conditions.

Medication Administration: Safely administer and manage medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and care home policies.

Care Planning: Develop, implement, and regularly review individual care plans to ensure residents receive appropriate and personalised care.

Health Monitoring: Assess residents’ physical and mental health, identifying and responding to changes in condition.

Clinical Decision Making: Provide professional judgement and take appropriate action in response to medical concerns or emergencies.

Supervision of Staff: Support, guide, and supervise care assistants and other staff to ensure safe and effective care is delivered.

Communication with Healthcare Professionals: Liaise with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate residents’ care.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, care documentation, and medication records.

Resident and Family Support: Provide information, reassurance, and support to residents and their families regarding health and care needs.
