Ty Coch Nursing Home in Cardiff is looking for a reliable Laundry Assistant to join our team.
You'll keep residents' clothing and linen clean, well cared for and returned promptly, following infection control procedures and best practice throughout. It's a hands-on role that makes a real difference to residents' comfort and dignity every day.
What you'll do:
- Manage the day-to-day laundry service, ensuring items are washed, dried and returned to the right person on time
- Follow infection control and cleaning schedules
- Keep the laundry room safe, organised and well stocked
- Report any equipment faults promptly
- Work closely with care staff to prioritise laundry needs
What we're looking for:
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience (care setting experience an advantage)
- A caring, person-centred approach
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team
Hours: 5 days over a 7-day period, as agreed with the manager
Pay: £13.45 per hour
