We are looking for caring and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to join our friendly team. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life in a safe and supportive environment.

This role is primarily based on night shifts, although you may occasionally be required to work day shifts to meet the needs of the service. Weekend working is also required on a rota basis, so flexibility is essential.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will:

  • Provide personal care, including assisting residents with washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility.
  • Support residents with their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
  • Assist residents during mealtimes, ensuring dietary needs and swallowing requirements are safely met.
  • Promote dignity, independence, privacy, and respect in all aspects of care.
  • Maintain accurate daily care records and documentation.
  • Support residents to take part in activities, hobbies, and social events.
  • Assist residents attending appointments, hospital visits, or community outings where required.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, including making beds, cleaning equipment, and ensuring residents' rooms are tidy.
  • Welcome visitors and provide a warm, friendly environment for residents and their families.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • You don't have to have previous experience as you will receive full training, but you must have compassion, dedication and a genuine interest in the people you care for.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work predominantly night shifts, with occasional day shifts if required, and weekends on a rota basis.
