We're seeking a kind, enthusiastic Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at Guiseley Manor Care Home. You'll work alongside our Wellbeing Coordinator to create meaningful experiences for 72 residents with diverse care needs.

0 hour BANK contract available at £12.71 per hour. Shift times are 10:00-15:00 or 11:00-16:00, including weekend working. Flexibility required to meet business needs.

What you'll be doing
Create weekly activity programmes that stimulate physical, mental and emotional wellbeing
Design innovative activities so residents achieve extraordinary things with their capabilities
Guide other staff to incorporate wellbeing activities into their roles
Learn each resident's life story and contribute to their individual wellbeing plans
Ensure risk assessments are in place for all activities
Understand the needs of people with various conditions
Promote and safeguard the welfare of residents


Skills and experience required
Experience of working with older people
Experience of delivering activity programmes
Ability to assess, plan and evaluate activity needs of older people
Strong teamwork and individual working skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise and handle emergency situations effectively
Creative, imaginative and enthusiastic with forward planning abilities
