Salary: £12.81/hour

Hours: 33/week

Your Role:

As a Assistant Cook you will support the First Cook in the preparation and delivery of meals. This role involves assisting with cooking, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The Second Cook may also take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the First Cook.

You’ll be responsible for:

· Assist in preparing and cooking meals according to menu plans and dietary needs

· Ensure meals are served on time and presented to a high standard

· Work closely with the 1st Cook to support daily kitchen operations

· Help manage food prep during busy periods

· Assist stock rotation and checking deliveries

· Adhere to all food hygiene, health, and food safety standards

What We’re Looking For:

· NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent preferred

· Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

· A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Cooking in a similar setting

· Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed

· Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
