We're looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team and play a key role in supporting residents to live with dignity, independence, and the highest possible quality of life. Working closely with the Care Home Manager and Deputy Manager, you'll help lead the care team, mentor colleagues, and ensure the delivery of outstanding care that meets regulatory standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs.
• Act as a key worker for a designated group of residents, developing, reviewing, and evaluating personalised care plans.
• Support residents with their physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing.
• Administer, record, and manage medication safely in accordance with company policies and current legislation.
• Complete accurate care documentation, incident reports, and care plan reviews.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, GPs, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Lead by example, providing guidance and support to Care Assistants and promoting best practice.
• Ensure residents' dignity, privacy, independence, and choices are respected at all times.
• Promote a safe environment by following Health & Safety procedures, safeguarding requirements, infection control, moving and handling guidance, and all relevant legislation.
• Participate in activities that enhance residents' wellbeing and quality of life.
• Support continuous quality improvement and contribute to maintaining excellent Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience working within a residential or nursing care setting.
• Experience supervising or supporting other care staff.
• A genuine passion for providing outstanding care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
• A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
• The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and delivering person-centred care.
