Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
• Support the implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns promptly to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clear understanding of care needs.
• Uphold health and safety standards in all aspects of care delivery, including infection control procedures.
• Contribute positively to a team environment by sharing information and supporting colleagues.

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication.
• Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and updating care plans.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly.
• Ability to work flexibly within a rota system, including weekends.
