Senior Care Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Shift Leader to join our friendly team in our dementia residential care home. You will lead the care team during your shift, ensure high standards of person-centred care, and support the smooth running of the home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise care staff during allocated shifts

• Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred dementia care

• Administer and record medications safely

• Complete accurate care notes and handovers

• Respond to emergencies and safeguard residents

• Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing

• Assist with staff training, induction, and daily coordination

About You:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)

• Experience in dementia care

• Confident supervising staff and leading shifts

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Reliable, compassionate, and calm under pressure
