Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our specialist nursing home, providing high-quality care for residents who present with challenging behaviours associated with dementia, mental health conditions, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, or other complex needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about delivering person-centred care, building positive therapeutic relationships, and making a meaningful difference in residents' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
- Support residents who may display behaviours that challenge in a calm, respectful, and therapeutic manner.
- Administer medications and monitor residents' physical and mental wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external healthcare professionals.
- Promote dignity, independence, and choice for every resident.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with CQC standards and professional guidelines.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care staff during shifts.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and changing clinical needs.
Requirements for the role:
- Current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with people with complex needs or behaviours that challenge (desirable but not essential).
- A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to care.
- Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
