The Role
You will lead the day-to-day operation of Parkfield House, making sure residents receive safe, person-centred care and colleagues understand the standards expected of them. Working with senior leadership and quality teams, you will strengthen accountability, develop your team and deliver improvement that lasts.
- Maintain the home’s Good CQC standards and strengthen governance and quality assurance.
- Coach the Deputy Manager and heads of department, building confidence and leadership capability.
- Improve recruitment, retention and workforce planning to reduce agency usage.
- Grow occupancy and strengthen the home’s local reputation, including relationships with privately funded residents and their families.
- Build constructive relationships with families, commissioners, healthcare professionals and regulators.
- Manage budgets and support the planned refurbishment, maintaining continuity of care throughout.
About You
You will be an experienced Home Manager with at least three years’ management experience and a proven record of delivering quality care and regulatory compliance. Experience managing a residential or nursing service, developing teams and leading quality improvement is highly desirable.
A Registered Nurse qualification, preferably RGN, would be desirable. You will bring the knowledge and judgement to oversee nursing care, alongside strong commercial awareness across occupancy, budgets and staffing.
We are looking for an approachable, resilient leader who is present in the home and follows through on commitments. You set clear expectations, support colleagues to improve and build confidence with residents and families.
Why Lead Parkfield House
Parkfield House offers the opportunity to lead a smaller, established home where you can get to know residents, families and colleagues closely. Its Good CQC rating provides a foundation to build on, while the planned refurbishment creates scope to improve the environment and strengthen its appeal locally.
With occupancy at 82% and agency reduction a clear priority, your leadership can make a practical difference to both team stability and the home’s performance.
You will have support from senior leadership and quality teams, with autonomy to lead and opportunities to develop your career within the group.
