Yarnley House Care Home needs an experienced Home Manager who can strengthen governance, develop the team and support sustainable growth. This is an opportunity for a leader who gets into the detail, builds trust and provides the consistency a developing home needs.

Our purpose-built home in Ringwood, close to the New Forest, has 72 en-suite bedrooms and provides residential, nursing and dementia care. The home has a growing reputation, increasing occupancy and a strong pipeline of enquiries.

You will join at an important stage in its development, with priorities spanning inspection readiness, team stability and staffing capacity. Your leadership will ensure growth is supported by safe care and reliable ways of working.

Contract

  • £80,000 - £85,000 per annum
  • Opportunity to earn up to 40% of salary through an annual bonus
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Company pension
  • Generous annual leave

Current Performance Snapshot

Occupancy: 68% (72-bed capacity) | Agency usage: averaging over 200 hours per week, with a healthy pipeline of staff due to join | CQC: not yet inspected.

The Role

You will lead Yarnley House through its continuing development, taking responsibility for care quality, inspection readiness, workforce stability and commercial performance. Working with the Deputy Manager and wider team, you will embed the quality framework and create the conditions for sustainable growth.

  • Strengthen governance and quality assurance, preparing the home for CQC inspection.
  • Coach the Deputy Manager and wider team through clear expectations and consistent support.
  • Build trust with colleagues, supporting retention and a settled team culture.
  • Plan recruitment and staffing alongside occupancy growth, matching admissions to the home’s capacity to provide safe care.
  • Improve rostering, manage budgets and reduce reliance on agency staff.
  • Build on relationships with families, commissioners and community partners, strengthening the home’s local presence.

About You

You will have at least five years’ experience managing nursing homes, including nursing and dementia services, with a proven record of strong regulatory outcomes and quality improvement. Experience of commissioning or developing a growing home is highly desirable.

A nursing qualification is not essential. You must bring the knowledge and judgement to oversee a nursing service effectively, alongside strong commercial and workforce planning skills.

We are looking for a personable, thoughtful leader who listens and follows through. You are systematic, confident in addressing gaps and willing to share your knowledge. You understand that trust is earned through consistency and are ready to provide lasting leadership stability.

Why Lead Yarnley House

Yarnley House is still building its identity, and its next Home Manager will have a significant part in shaping it. The setting, facilities and growing interest from families create real potential. The team needs someone who will take time to understand the home, build trust and provide a steady direction.

With occupancy growing and new colleagues preparing to join, you can turn that potential into a settled, well-supported service. By coaching the leadership team, embedding strong governance and planning growth carefully, you will help create a home people feel proud to work in and families confidently choose.
