Rotherwood Care Home is looking for a passionate, reliable, and caring Chef/Cook to join our friendly team. You will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of our residents by providing fresh, nutritious, and enjoyable meals every day.
What You’ll Do

Prepare home?cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, tea, and snacks

Create varied, seasonal menus based on residents’ preferences

Cater for special diets including soft diets, diabetic, vegetarian, allergies, and cultural needs

Maintain excellent food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and safety standards

Manage stock rotation, ordering, and cost?effective purchasing

Work closely with care staff to meet residents’ nutritional needs

Support themed meals, celebrations, and special events

Ensure the kitchen is always organised, safe, and compliant with audits

Skills / Qualifications
- Skills & Qualifications – Chef / Cook Essential Skills Experience as a Chef or Cook (care home experience desirable) Strong understanding of dietary needs for older adults Knowledge of food textures
