We’re looking for a Charge Nurse to join a specialist neurological service in Milton Keynes, supporting adults with acquired brain injuries, progressive neurological conditions and complex care needs.

For an experienced nurse ready to step up, or a Charge Nurse looking for a fresh challenge, this is an opportunity to combine hands-on nursing with clinical leadership in a setting where your judgement, experience and approach to care matter.

You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and clinical neuropsychology professionals. That means opportunities to share expertise, broaden your knowledge and contribute to coordinated care.

As Charge Nurse, you’ll help set the standard for safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing. Your role will include -

• Providing clinical leadership and supporting colleagues throughout the shift.
• Using your clinical judgement to assess needs, recognise changes and coordinate appropriate care.
• Supporting clear care planning, accurate documentation and effective handovers.
• Working closely with nursing and therapy colleagues to support each person’s needs and goals.
• Leading by example and helping colleagues develop their confidence and practice.

What you’ll bring

You’ll be an NMC-registered RGN, RMN or RNLD, with post-registration nursing experience, sound clinical judgement and the confidence to support and guide others.

You’ll take pride in high standards, communicate clearly and bring a thoughtful, compassionate approach to people with complex needs.

Experience in neurological or complex care would be valuable. Equally, if you have relevant nursing experience and want to develop your career in this specialism, we’d welcome a conversation.
