Senior Care Assistant

Cherrybrook Care Home is a large, purpose designed service in Bradford, providing specialist care across two units for 120 residents with complex mental health needs, dementia and challenging behaviours. The home delivers high quality, clinically led care within a structured and supportive environment, combining specialist nursing expertise with a strong focus on dignity, stability and person centred support.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £13.71 per hour
• 44hours a week in a 4 day week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will take a lead role in delivering high quality, person centred care within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, providing clear direction and support to the team to ensure care is delivered safely, consistently and to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on support, you will respond to changing needs, incidents or concerns, maintaining a calm and well managed environment at all times.

You will oversee medication administration, ensure care plans are followed correctly and maintain accurate and up to date records. Working closely with the wider team, you will support effective communication and contribute to a structured, professional and consistent approach to care.

This role requires a confident, organised and resilient individual who can support both residents and staff within a complex care environment.

What We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards
• Medication training and competency in administration
• Experience supporting or leading within a care environment
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• A calm, reliable and compassionate approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
