Residents at a Northumberland care celebrated the Queen’s Coronation this week with a special party.
While Her Majesty marked the occasion with a special service at Westminster Abbey, Debaliol Nursing Home, in Newbiggin by the Sea, was decorated with Union Jacks and residents, their families and friends enjoyed an afternoon of musical entertainment.
Home manager Julia Rose said: “The residents really enjoyed the party to mark the Queen’s Coronation and it was great to see lots of their family and friends and people from the community joining in the celebration too. As many of our residents remember the Queen’s Coronation, the celebration was a fantastic way for them to reminisce and share their memories.”
Debaliol Nursing Home, part of the Bondcare Group, provides residential and nursery care for 56 elderly residents, helping them to maintain lifestyles as close as possible to those enjoyed at home
