MILFORD HOUSE RESIDENTS AWARD GOLD MEDAL TO IN-HOUSE 'CAFE OLYMPIQUE'

Residents at Milford House Care Home in Salisbury have been following the progress of Team GB at the Paris Olympics with enthusiasm and have even been enjoying their very own 'Cafe Olympique' which has been opening it's doors each morning of the games. The French themed cafe with its Parisienne backdrop and bistro feel has proved extremely popular as residents have gathered daily to enjoy French pastries warm from the oven, a range of sweet treats with a French flavour and of course freshly made to order coffees.

Aga Musial, General Manager at Milford House Care Home says: “This has been such a fun initiative as part of our French fortnight to coincide with the games and has provided a great setting for many of our events, including of course daily discussions about the medals and performances of the athletes. We have also been delighted to welcome lots of friends, family members and even visitors from our sister care home in the area to our little bit of Paris here in Wiltshire!'

A resident at the home commented 'It's been such fun to drop by in the mornings and look out over Paris from our balcony view for a little while, and I've tried a different coffee and treat each morning as well, so I definitely award 'Cafe Olympique' and team Milford a gold medal for recreating a slice of cafe life here in the home!'
