Local Dementia Nurse Shortlisted for Prestigious Dementia Care Award

Belmont House Nursing Home in Sutton, part of the Aria Care Group, is celebrating Dementia Lead Nurse Christopher Irorita, who has been shortlisted for a prestigious accolade at the 2025 Dementia Care Awards, recognising his outstanding contribution to dementia care.

With his hands-on, person-centred approach, Christopher has championed innovative practices that are not only improving the quality of life for residents living with dementia but are also empowering care colleagues to deliver the highest standards of support.

Also shortlisted in this year’s awards is Michele Saunders, Aria Care’s Dementia Wellbeing Manager, nominated for Outstanding Contribution to Dementia. Michele has played a key role in developing and delivering Aria Care’s groundbreaking dementia strategy, setting new benchmarks across the care sector.
