Excelcare Team Tackles Tough Mudder to Raise Over £7,000

On 10th May 2025, thirteen determined members of the Excelcare family took on the formidable Tough Mudder challenge, raising vital funds for the Excelcare Foundation—our charity devoted to supporting colleagues through life’s most challenging moments.

The Excelcare Foundation—established by Chief Operating Officer Sam Manning with the unwavering support of Chairman and CEO Osman ‘Ozzie’ Ertosun—was created to stand beside colleagues during life’s most difficult times. Whether offering support through bereavement, illness, or financial hardship, the Foundation ensures no one in the Excelcare family faces adversity alone. Since its inception, it has provided over £55,000 in essential aid, reflecting the organisation’s core values of compassion, dignity, and belonging.

The Tough Mudder course, spanning five kilometres and featuring thirteen challenging obstacles, tested the team's endurance, strength, and unity. Despite facing physical and mental trials, including injuries sustained during training, the team's camaraderie and mutual support ensured that every member crossed the finish line together after conquering the course.

In preparation for the event, each participant set a fundraising goal of £200, seeking support from friends, family, and colleagues. Their collective efforts surpassed expectations, raising a total of £3,603—well above the initial £2,600 target.

To acknowledge their remarkable efforts, each participant received a medal, a finisher's T-shirt, and a headband—symbols of their determination and resilience. In a generous gesture, Chairman and CEO Osman 'Ozzie' Ertosun matched the funds raised, bringing the total contribution to over £7,000.

Reflecting on the team's achievement, Ozzie commented:

"You are all truly amazing. Well done for completing Tough Mudder this weekend! You are an inspiration to our Excelcare Family, and I’m incredibly proud of the tenacity and bravery you each displayed throughout the course. You should all be incredibly proud of what you have achieved—for yourselves, as a team, and for our charity! The money you have helped us raise will go a long way in supporting The Excelcare Foundation to continue its important work."

This extraordinary effort highlights the unity, resilience, and compassion at the heart of the Excelcare family. In coming together to overcome this demanding challenge, the team exemplified what it means to stand by one another, both on the course and in life.
