Two Meallmore care homes have been recognised among the best in the UK in the first-ever Lottie Awards. Airthrey Care Home in Airth and Redwoods Care Home in Alness have both been named in Lottie’s Top 100 Care Homes for 2025, celebrating their outstanding commitment to residents, families and staff.

The Lottie Awards are based on a detailed, data-led review of thousands of care homes across the UK, assessing quality of care, enquiry responsiveness, digital presence, staff wellbeing and resident feedback. Being named in the Top 100 from over 14,000 homes nationwide is a significant achievement – and one that reflects the dedication and compassion shown daily by Meallmore’s teams.

Michelle Ruiz-Beltran, Care Home Manager at Airthrey, said: “We are delighted to be named one of the UK’s top care homes. This recognition is a reflection of the dedication our team shows every single day. Airthrey is more than just a care home – it’s a family. We work hard to create an environment where our residents not only feel supported and safe but also truly at home.”

Dana Suciu, Manager at Redwoods, added: “Being named one of the top 100 care homes in the UK is a proud moment for the whole Redwoods team. We are deeply rooted in our local community and strive to create a warm, welcoming place where residents feel respected, engaged and truly cared for.”

Will Donnelly, Co-Founder and CEO of Lottie, said: “To be named among the Top 100 from over 14,000 care homes nationwide is a huge achievement. These care homes are not just meeting residents’ needs, they’re redefining later living by creating vibrant and supportive communities that deliver exceptional care and experiences.”

The award recognises Meallmore’s continued focus on person-centred care, digital innovation, and positive workplace culture. Both Airthrey and Redwoods are shining examples of Meallmore’s C.A.R.E. values – Creating welcoming environments, Acting with accountability, Recognising colleagues, and Engaging in continuous improvement – all while being great places to live and work.
