This ensures every aspect of their care is catered for. All team members follow infection control procedures at all times.
Airthrey Care Home's dedicated Activities Team offer residents a varied programme of activities that can be tailored to suit individual needs. Residents are supported and encouraged to socialise and continue their hobbies, making the most of life at the home as well as keeping connected with the local community. The home also has a trishaw that enables residents to go for assisted cycle rides.
The home offers 52 fully furnished ensuite bedrooms, and uses assistive technology to ensure the safety, well-being and mobility of residents, empowering them to be an independent as possible.
There are also four spacious lounge and dining areas where residents can choose to enjoy professionally prepared meals, as well as dedicated quiet areas within the home where residents can choose to relax, and secure landscaped gardens. Residents also have access to a hairdressing and beauty salon where they can enjoy some TLC.

My Mother-in-Law entered Airthrey Care Home in early June 2026. She settled into the home very quickly, greatly helped by the excellent personal care received from the staff and the lovely, clean, well maintained environment, plus her own beautiful and very comfortable room. The staff are, without exception, a very professional, kindly and caring team who work incredibly hard to maintain the very high standards of care and welfare for each resident. Every time I visit I receive a warm welcome and am offered tea or coffee etc. by a member of staff. Elsie tells me that she is never lonely, has good food to eat and lots of cups of tea and there is always something to do. We have nothing but total praise for everyone who works in this home. It is certainly reassuring for my wife and I that Elsie is receiving such a very high standard of care. Nothing is too much trouble for staff and this is, without doubt, a first-class establishment where residents come first at all times. Well done!

Mum only moved into the care home just over a week ago but the staff have been brilliant. Myself and my sisters went to the care home on the morning my mum was due to move in to get her room ready. So many people came in to help us and find out more about the personal side of mum. When mum arrived late afternoon and she was made so welcome and the first thing they did was give her a cup of tea. They called later that evening and first thing the following morning to give us an update which was appreciated. It will take time for mum to adjust being in the care home but she likes the staff and the building and knows she is in the best place for round the clock care.

They were patient, respectful and kind, both to Kenneth and our family. His dementia could be challenging with persistent wandering and escape attempts, but staff took this in their stride. Health issues were sensitively dealt with. His condition deteriorated last month (May), and staff had prepared us for end-of-life care. They supported myself and my daughters until he passed. As far as I am aware Airthrey has mostly employees as opposed to agency staff and this helps with the day to day running of the home. When you are there 24/7 you see the things they are dealing with at any time and they have my respect and gratitude for this.

My mum has been in Airthrey Care Home for 2 years now and has had excellent care throughout her time there. Her condition is deteriorating and has required hospitalisation on 2 occasions over the past 6 weeks. The nurses at the Home reacted swiftly to changes in my mums condition and called an ambulance. They also kept me well informed of the situation. Mum was happy to be back in the Home once she was discharged from hospital and although she now requires more care it's always given to her with kindness and reassurance.
My father has been in care since the end of June 2025. My dad has taken a fair bit of time adjusting to being in the home, but liked the staff and how he is treated. I know he is in the best place since he is getting round the clock care.

Generally I believe the care provided to be of a high quality. Sometimes when temporary/contract staff are used I have some concerns (observed, reported to management and action was taken). There are some residents with demanding care needs and these look to be well managed.

We were so happy when a space became available because it was 2nd on our list of those we went to look at during during 2022. The home is well maintained and there are always cleaners working away when I visit at different times during the week. The center courtyard is lovely as it gives a secure outside space for residents but also let's natural light in. The staff are great and try to involve my mum in activities and take her on outings. I can't speak highly enough of everyone there.

We are passionate about the care and well-being of residents at Airthrey. I aim to ensure that every resident in our home feels happy and secure while they are with us.
Our home is a focal point in the local community and we are known for our excellent standard of care. We regularly engage in community initiatives to help bring more awareness to the work we do and make our residents feel at home.
Our aim is for residents to feel like they are a part of the Airth community and we encourage participation in local events and activities whenever possible.
We have a cycle trishaw – a special bike designed to carry two passengers – which allows us to take our residents out and about for a ride around the local area. This is a hugely social experience and our neighbours are now used to seeing us wheeling around Airth!
Our private garden area serves as an ideal space for relaxation and group activities. We also offer generously proportioned bedrooms with full en-suite shower facilities.
Appointments are not required for those interested in touring the home and our staff would be more than happy to assist with any queries.
Older Person Care, Dementia, Physical Disability, Visual / Hearing Impairment are the registered (by the Care Quality Commission) categories of Care.
