My father was resident in Airthrey Care Home from April of this year until he passed away recently.Our family would like to thank each and every person involved in my father Edwards Care.We couldn't have asked for anymore .The staff were amazing with the Care of the residents being their top priority.They went above to ensure my dad had the very best of Care.From Management to admin staff cleaners carers and kitchen staff everyone was amazing.They involved our family with every aspect of my father's care and nothing was a bother to ensure my dad was well cared for and comfortable. When my dad was receiving palliative care they supported our family and helped ease our worries and made sure our dad was comfortable. We would recommend this care home to anyone who is considering a care home.The environment is warm and welcoming and very relaxed.It has lovely garden area and lounges and bedrooms are comfortable.Thanks to everyone at Airthrey Care Home.From all Eddie's loving family

My father has been in care since the end of June 2025. My dad has taken a fair bit of time adjusting to being in the home, but liked the staff and how he is treated. I know he is in the best place since he is getting round the clock care.

Generally I believe the care provided to be of a high quality. Sometimes when temporary/contract staff are used I have some concerns (observed, reported to management and action was taken). There are some residents with demanding care needs and these look to be well managed.

My mum has been in Airthrey Care Home for over three years and in very settled, content and happy. We were so happy when a space became available because it was 2nd on our list of those we went to look at during during 2022. The home is well maintained and there are always cleaners working away when I visit at different times during the week. The center courtyard is lovely as it gives a secure outside space for residents but also let's natural light in. The staff are great and try to involve my mum in activities and take her on outings. I can't speak highly enough of everyone there.

All staff are very friendly towards myself and family when we come to visit. I see the 1st class care given to all residents when I am visiting. Cleanliness in the home is good. Food supplied to residents looks nice and appetising and residents are looked after during meal times . Any health issues with my parent is looked into and I am informed of any changes to their health/medicines and I am very happy with the care given.

My brothers and I are very happy with the care our mother receives at Airthrey Care. Mum is very happy there and very well looked after. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy and settled. There are lots of activities and events to keep the residents entertained. Good feedback of these events on social media to keep friends and families informed.

Very friendly and caring staff. Clean and well maintained home. Comfortable and cosy areas for residents and visitors to relax in. My husband has been very settled since he moved in to Airthrey Care Home

Staff are friendly, supportive and provide regular updates on my Mother's care. The home is always clean & well kept with a relaxed atmosphere . I am happy that my Mother is in safe hands and very well looked after and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit.

Mum can be hard work due to her dementia but I'm never made to feel that she's a problem. She's always been shown kindness and respect. Any small issues I may have are dealt with promptly and without any fuss.

My mum is a resident in the care home and it's been almost a year now she's been part of the care home, she's so happy here , the staff are great with her , any questions / issues we have had the management team have been first class in helping us with , they have made the transition from my mum living in her own home to moving in to the care system and we as a family cannot thank them enough, the home is spotless clean my mum just thinks it's great that she has this service to care for her and it puts the families mine at rest that she is getting the best of care from all the staff & management in Airthrey Thanks

It was a very positive experience for me as I live abroad and can only visit my mum every 3 to 4 months.. the staff were excellent and my mum seemed well looked after .. she seems so much More settled now than on my last visit to her which was in June of this year.. Overall I am relieved and happy that I have finally found somewhere that my mum seems happy.. Thank you for caring . Carol

The most impressive aspect of Airthrey are the staff. Every member of the team, from the management to the carers and the kitchen staff, are warm, friendly, and compassionate. They treat my mum with dignity and respect, always with a smile and a willingness to help, no matter the request. My mum has dementia and has recently lost her husband, but the staff's expert, patient, and person-centered approach has helped her settle in and they have reduced her anxiety considerably. The facility itself is always clean and well-maintained. The rooms are comfortable and we were encouraged to personalize mums with her own possessions. The food is also excellent, lots of tea and cakes.

Airthrey has been superb in making the home welcoming for our father. They interact with him well and helped him settle in. We are confident Dad is getting the best possible care. Activities are organised quite often which helps provide a varied experience for dad.

We have found Airthrey to be brilliant for my mother in law. She moved in December 2024 and has settled well with help from all the staff. They are all very friendly, helpful, caring and made us all feel very welcome! Their care and attention to our mother in law has been amazing and we feel very reassured that she is looked after and cared for

Both myself (step- daughter) and my mum ( partner) of new resident (6weeks) can not emphasise enough how good we feel about Airthrey Care Home at this particularly difficult time! As new 'clients' experiencing putting a loved one into care for the first time-we can not praise ALL staff enough! The support and communication has been superb, keeping us as a family fully updated and involved in our loved ones care plan, progress etc. The care home itself is friendly, inviting, homely and very well kept with every attempt made to cater for each individuals needs. We have been made to feel so welcome- everyone has been extremely helpful and reassuring without judgement. The patients appear to be so well looked after and are encouraged to participate in organised activities. The meals look great too! So good in fact, our family member has actually put some weight on!! All in all, even at this early stage, we as a family are so happy to have found this excellent care home! THANK YOU

Mum went into Airthrey Care Home in Feb 2024 following a traumatic year in hospital, rehabilitation and assessment. She was very distressed throughout this time however could not go home due to her progressing medical issues. Our first choice was Airthrey and soon after arriving Mum reported feeling 'safe'. Staff and other residents soon felt like our family. We were always kept up to date with Mum's health and wellbeing and felt confident in the level of care and affection she was receiving. This was particularly important for our dad during this difficult time. When Mum became ill in December we were humbled by the care and concern shown to her and our family from all staff. Many visited Mum to say goodbye and comfort us before ending their shift. The practical and emotional support offered enabled us to stay with Mum for three days and nights until she died. Without exception, we are indebted to all members of staff and are forever thankful we chose Airthrey to care for our mum.

My aunt was fortunate enough to move into Airthrey Care Home during the summer of 2024. The home itself is a modern, well-planned building, with spacious en suite rooms. The staff keep it immaculate and well heated for the time of year. They spend a lot of time and effort ensuring that each resident is treated as an individual. They are caring and concerned and nothing is too much trouble. My aunt is quite a fussy eater and they will go to the trouble of making an individual meal for her that she enjoys. There is no shortage of cups of tea at any time of the day. They encourage her to be the best version of herself that she can be. She always looks smart and clean and her clothes are kept in immaculate condition. She's encouraged to liaise with other residents and now has a few friends that she enjoys spending time with. My aunt's move into this care home has been a hugely positive experience for her and has improved her quality of life a lot. I'd have no hesitation in recommending it.

My brother was a resident from 3rd July this year until he passed away recently. The attention he received was second to none. His wife died in June whilst they lived at home. This proved a great shock to him. The care staff, domestic staff and others made him feel so welcome. He was especially fond of the food and afternoon snacks were eagerly looked for, often baked on the premises. There is a warmth about the place, not just the heating, and its modern furnishings are so inviting. I would recommend Airthrey Care Home to anyone.

My dad was very isolated and lonely at home after losing my mum. His vascular dementia was getting worse. I wasn’t sleeping at night for worrying and he was phoning me at all hours during the night. Since he’s been in Airthrey Care Home, he now has company. He takes part in the activities. The staff couldn’t be more approachable. Dad has his down days but all in all, he’s happy. He says the food is lovely. He’s always immaculately dressed. His room is spotless. All of the staff are very caring towards Dad and I really appreciate that. He’s always been the best dad and I just want him treated with kindness, respect and empathy. I praise this home to all of my friends and family.

I am very happy with the care my dad has received over the four years he has been in Airthrey Care Home. The staff and management are all approachable and any problems have been dealt with promptly. They look after all my dad's needs.
