Always a warm welcome on entry with an offer of coffee/cake! My mother has been well cared for since September 2024, Although she is bedridden she is often visited by carers who she enjoys chatting to anytime. Management keeps me well informed via email which is reassuring. I know my mother will be
cared for at the end of life - her wish is NOT TO BE MOVED. The staff overall are friendly, caring and pretty cheerful!

My husband was a resident for 2 weeks thanks to the kindness and understanding of the care home manager – all the staff were friendly and helpful keeping my husband clean and well attended. – He told me that the staff made my husband feel safe in a new environment to him – all of which made us both
happy.

Antonine House Care Home

from Laura B (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 July 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
When visiting care homes in the area, Antonine House stood out from the others and in the 5 months my mother has been there it has lived up to that expectation. All staff are so welcoming and helpful. The standard of care is excellent and my mother is relaxed and happy. She loves getting her hair done
in the salon. Communication is great when visiting, but is sometimes difficult if trying to phone or email. With so many staff, perhaps a "case manager" for each resident would provide a single point of contact. As relatives we only see the snippet of the day when visiting. I would love to receive a sort summary of what her typical day looks like. I am very happy with the care my mum is receiving and I am confident I made the best decision choosing Antonine House.
Reply from Cameron, Antonine House Care Home at Antonine House Care HomeThank you for such thoughtful feedback. We are so pleased that Antonine House stood out to you from the beginning and has continued to feel like the right choice for your mother. It is wonderful to hear that she is relaxed, happy, well cared for and enjoying little things such as visits to the salon. We also really appreciate your honest comments about communication by phone and email, and your suggestion of a clearer point of contact and more regular updates about her day. We understand how reassuring this would be for families and will share your feedback with the management team. Your confidence in the care your mother receives means a great deal to everyone at Antonine House.

My mother has been resident at Antonine House for 2 and a half years. She is very well looked after by all the staff. Her room is very comfortable. The overall facilities are very good. There is a well used cafe where she can take visitors and the garden is a lovely well maintained space for relaxing
in the better weather. Everybody in the Home makes a big effort to get to know the residents and the level of care is excellent. All visitors are made to feel very welcome. The Home is kept immaculately clean.at all times. There are a great variety of activities organised by the Home.

Airthrey Care Home

from Jeanette A (Wife of Resident) published on 7 July 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My husband, Kenneth, moved into Airthrey Care Home in January 2024. The staff were all very welcoming and took very good care of him. They were patient, respectful and kind, both to Kenneth and our family. His dementia could be challenging with persistent wandering and escape attempts, but staff took
this in their stride. Health issues were sensitively dealt with. His condition deteriorated last month (May), and staff had prepared us for end-of-life care. They supported myself and my daughters until he passed. Michelle and her team are amazing.

My mother previously resided at another care organisation. I often felt the care staff there, were only interested in "checking boxes" rather than the kind of empathetic care I would expect to be someone's care giver. Fortunately she was moved to Hilton Court and it was like night and day. The staff
here genuinely care about the residents, host open days and always show exemplary care and respect. Best thing that happened to my mum.

Airthrey Care Home

from Dorothy G (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 June 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
For just over 3 years my parent was in Airthrey. The staff from domestic staff carers admin and management were always approachable and helpful. Like most care homes staff are pulled in many directions and residents with Dementia and Alzheimers can be unpredictable and volatile. The staff always seemed
able to control situations firmly but in a nice way. Yes we had issues with some things in the time they were there but never felt I couldn't go to the manager with any issues. Either the manager or her deputy would listen to concerns and deal with them .
During my parents last days we were there most of the time day or night. There was always someone popping in to see how things were and making sure we were allowed privacy.
As far as I am aware Airthrey has mostly employees as opposed to agency staff and this helps with the day to day running of the home. When you are there 24/7 you see the things they are dealing with at any time and they have my respect and gratitude for this.

Mum was in St Olaf in June 2026 for two weeks respite care. She was very happy and settled for her stay and was well looked after - she especially enjoyed the daily activities. I have nothing but praise for the Manager (Kath) and all her staff. I would definitely put Mum there again.

My father was initially moved to Antonine House for respite care and we have now accepted a permanent place for him. He seems settled , happy and well cared for. The staff always appear friendly and helpful. We sometimes wish for more feedback on how he is doing but when we do engage with nursing
staff they are able to update us. We are generally very happy with his care and the staff seem very happy and engaged too.

Airthery Care Home has given me real peace of mind, knowing that my mum receives the highest quality of care and support. From the moment you walk through the door, you are welcomed with warmth and kindness by the whole team. The home is beautifully decorated, my mum has a bright and spacious bedroom
and there are lovely communal areas for us to use for visits. The staff are always attentive and treat residents with dignity, patience and genuine compassion. Communication is excellent, you are just made to feel part of your loved ones plan. It is clear that the wellbeing and happiness of residents are at the heart of everything they do. I wanted to write another review after submitting my initial one in early 2025. My Mum has deteriorated with her frontal lobe dementia and has experienced some challenging times. However, Denise, Joyce and the staff have worked tirelessly with me to ensure that Mum's changing needs are catered for.
Mum moved to a quieter part of the building which helped no end. She's receiving excellent care, both personal, medical and in her well being. I was amazed to see her in a Knit and Natter group knitting away with a huge smile when I went in last week. Mum is empowered as far as possible to make her own choices and staff facilitate her being able to maintain some control, dignity and sense of self. She eats well, has a lovely room with nice facilities, she is encouraged to maintain her hygiene and chooses her own clothes, she is kept occupied with activities and treated with respect and compassion..
The staff are friendly, warm and compassionate and are very supportive of me as well as Mum.

We are sorry to hear that her dementia has progressed and that there have been challenging times, but we are so pleased to know that Denise, Joyce and the wider team have worked closely with you to adapt her support and help her feel settled, safe and comfortable. It is wonderful to hear that the move to a quieter area has made such a positive difference, and that your mum is receiving excellent personal, medical and wellbeing support. Your comments about her being encouraged to make choices, maintain her dignity and sense of self, enjoy activities such as Knit and Natter, eat well and feel respected and cared for mean a great deal. We are also glad that you feel supported as a family member, and we will be sure to share your kind words with the whole team.

Mum has been staying at Culduthel for the past 5 weeks.
We have been made very welcome by all the team.
I am extremely impressed and grateful for the care she has received.
The staff have been wonderful, so kind, caring attentive and professional towards mum myself and anyone visiting.
The activities
team have been great in keeping mum occupied, entertained and very happy.
Today at a come dine with me session I asked mum what one thing would she change about Culduthel she replied..absolutely nothing!
Think that says it all! Keep up the great work.
Thank you to everyone in the team.

We are overall generally satisfied with everything at Parklands and if any matters/aspects arise, we are able to address them straight away and sort things out. The only thing I do feel sometimes is there are not enough staff to cover the amount of residents and that is probably the same all over with
shortages everywhere.

Hilton Court Care Home

Was customer care built into Hilton Court?
On crossing the threshold, you would immediately think so. Here, you see both residents and staff going about their day. In both a purposeful and positive manner. Clearly, management leads by example, and there is a sense of harmony throughout. The residents'
response is most pleasing to such leadership. They know they are secure, well looked after and cared for.
Here at Hilton, we have a staff with a "want to" attitude. A staff willing to go the extra mile to achieve the very best for those in their care. Total commitment in teamwork, the belief in a "hands-on" commitment, makes Hilton Court, yes, I use this word freely, a leader in its field.
You cannot get better than perfection, yet time and time again, here we find, honed on good management, that perfection is challenged daily. Better than? Excellent... even. But let's take a look at a resident's day. For their well-being, safety is paramount, security ever present. Staff are caring, considerate and respectful and know at a glance what needs are required for those less able. This is where staff perform, daily, exceptional service to those in need. Activity classes abound. Art to yoga, board games to gardening, and many more in between.
I add. The garden is a pure delight, the enclosed courtyard garden in particular a very special area of tranquillity.
Lunch is served in the main lounge while individual requirements are catered for in service as needed, i.e., own room/lounge. Food prepared is of high quality, attractive to the eye, substantial and, most importantly, tasty. No one goes hungry at Hilton. No one is left out...of anything!
Note.
In my short experience as a visitor to Hilton Court, I have no hesitation in reviewing the above care home. I consider it a privilege. The highest standard of care is found here. Care and support excel. All facilities are both excellent and suitable for the care offered. Every resident has their own cosy, self-contained room. Management and staff commitment is the reasons why this care home is the very best in its field. Well done to all of you.
Thank you for looking after all the grateful people in your precious care. They worship the ground you stand on...but then, you know that!

My mother transitioned into this facility today.
From my engagement with the Care Home Manager to this transition experience i have seen nothing but caring and professionalism.
They visited my mother at home and then partnered with myself and my mothers in home carers to help create a strong transition
plan that enabled a dementia sufferer to move in dignity while being very cognisant of the emotional impact.
This i am confident is an establishment that cares for its residents and staff alike to make this feel like home.
