My mum is very well cared for in Auchtercrag Care Home. When you enter the building, it always smells nice and fresh. The staff are always welcoming. The home is always clean. My mum's room is always very clean and tidy. My mum's personal care is very good - she is always clean and tidy. The food is

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has only been in Kynnaird House for 2 weeks.
The way she has settled into the home has been excellent.
The care staff have been wonderful making it really easy for her to feel at home, she has been really well looked after, they spotted that she had a chest infection and organized the necessary
treatment, there are lots of activities each day for her to be involved in.
The rooms i.e. bedroom, dinning area and lounge, are always spotlessly clean with cleaning staff taking a real pride in their work.
The food has been really good and my mothers appetite has improved since she has arrived.
It is always a pleasure to visit with staff who care about their work.

Parklands Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has been in Parklands for 4 months now and has settled in very well thanks to the kindness of the staff.
I visit her at least once a week, often on different days and at different times, so I meet various carers and nurses, all of whom are friendly and caring.
Whilst Mum doesn't like to
leave her room, we did recently enjoy listening to a wonderful choir which Mum thoroughly enjoyed.
Mum moved from England and both Diane and Edna made the process easy for me and Mum. At a particularly stressful time, they were kind and helpful and I will always be so grateful for that.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My aunt became a resident at Parklands Care Home, Alloa, at the start of 2025. From our first enquiry with Diane and Edna, the experience was seamless. They listened to our concerns and wishes for our aunt. Our aunt struggled with sleeping in a single bed, this led to a disturbed night's sleep, this
started to impact on her quality of life. The staff tried everything, changed beds, took the wooden sides off, but still no sleep. Diane took the situation to her MDT and discussed a bariatric bed, after a risk assessment it was all go. Bed arrived, maintenance spend the day building the new bed. It looks amazing, but most of all our aunt now has a comfortable night's sleep. Quality of life improved so much.

My godmother has been living in Forthland Lodge for nearly 5 years and we have been very happy with how she has settled to life in here. She was well supported after her twin sister died (who also lived in Forthland) in February.
She is always well turned out when we call to see her and feel
guilty if we arrive when she is engaged in one of the activities and take her out.
She has had a few teeth removed but has not suffered any weight loss that we've noticed and anyway she enjoys the food served here.
The staff always let us know if there are any concerns or permissions required for vaccines etc.

Dad has been in The Grove for about 6 months. The staff are always friendly and attentive to him. The home, and his room, are clean and well looked after. There are activities on through the day, and although dad doesn't take part in them, the residents look like they enjoy them.
Dad has been poorly
this last week, and they were prompt in calling the doctor and us. They have looked after him well and were keen to make sure we were ok too.
I feel that the staff really care about their residents in The Grove, which means a lot to us.

My sister was a resident in Parklands for 16 months before she passed away. During this time, my sister was treated with respect and dignity. Staff made every effort to ensure her needs were met. Nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were of a high standard, excellent meals and cleanliness kept
to a high standard. If any issue arose, it was rectified immediately. I have peace of mind that my sister's last remaining months were a happy time for her.

We felt my mum was very well looked after during her recent respite stay. Right from arrival through to the goodbyes staff were attentive, kind and patient. We were reassured she was safe, had the opportunity to join in activities and had company all in beautiful surroundings.
Mearns House is beautifully
decorated with lots of lovely homely touches. My mum thought the food excellent and room very comfortable.
We'd definitely recommend Mearns House to others.

Kelvinside manor has welcomed not only my Mum (a permanent resident) but also my Dad for respite. Both have been looked after brilliantly . The facilities are luxurious and it genuinely feels a happy and safe place to be. My mum has Alzheimer's and she is treated with respect and care and any health
issues are quickly dealt with.
The whole team at kelvinside manor are fantastic and I can not thank them enough for all that they have done for my Father whilst he was in respite and all that they continue to do for my Mum .
An amazing place!
