Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Dad moved into Ivybank in December 2024 and I have found that he settled in very quickly which was a relief for the family as he always said he would not want to go into care. He is very well looked after and enjoys the staff having a laugh with him. I like the fact he is taken out to the pub and
had lunch out which he loves

Reply from Cameron King, Ivybank House Care Home at Ivybank House Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind words. We know how big a transition moving into care can be - not just for your dad, but for your whole family- so it truly means the world to hear that he's settled in so well at Ivybank. It's lovely to know he's enjoying the company of our colleagues (and the banter!), and we're especially glad he's getting out and about to do the things he loves-like a good lunch out at the pub! We always aim to make life here feel as full, joyful and familiar as possible. Thank you for trusting us with his care and for sharing your experience. It really does make a difference.

Kincaid House

from G O (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum has lived at Kincaid House for the past year. The care she received from staff was outstanding. They were kind, caring, patient, and nothing was ever too much for them. Sadly, my mum passed away in March and was very ill in the last few weeks.
The staff were amazing, they looked after my mum
with professionalism and dignity at all times. They were also a great support to myself, I don't know how I would have coped without them.

Reply from Cameron King, Kincaid House Care Home at Kincaid House

Thank you so much for sharing such kind and moving words during what must still be a very difficult time. We're truly sorry for your loss, and our thoughts remain with you and your family. It means a great deal to know that your mum felt safe and supported at Kincaid House, and that our team were able to provide care with the kindness, patience and dignity she deserved-especially in her final weeks. It's also incredibly humbling to hear that we could offer you comfort and support during such a personal time. Thank you again for placing your trust in us. It was a privilege to care for your mum, and your words will mean so much to our team.

Kelvinside Manor

from David C (Son of Resident) published on 15 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Kelvinside Manor really is a lovely place. My Mum has been there since February 2025 and she has been very well looked after and is both happy and safe here. Her care needs have increased over the years and the staff at this home have stepped up admirably. Her room is very comfortable and well appointed,
and mum is always beautifully turned out every day. All of the management and staff have been very friendly and professional and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The dining and communal areas are really lovely and the food seems to be excellent. All in all, Kelvinside Manor is a well run, first rate facility that I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone else.

Reply from Cameron, Kelvinside Manor Care Home at Kelvinside Manor

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such kind and thoughtful feedback about Kelvinside Manor. We're absolutely delighted to hear that your mum is happy, safe, and feeling so well supported since moving into the home. Knowing that her increasing care needs have been met with professionalism and compassion from our team really means a great deal to us. We're proud of the environment we've created at Kelvinside Manor - from the well-appointed rooms and communal areas to the quality of food and everyday care - but it's the dedication of our team that makes the biggest difference. It's lovely to hear that has come through in your experience. Thank you again for your recommendation and your trust in us. It's a real privilege to care for your mum.

Kelvinside Manor

from Sue B (Daughter of Resident) published on 15 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

From my initial meeting with the manager of Kelvinside Manor Care I felt this was the best place for my mum to go for 2 weeks respite care, after which she decided she was like to stay on.
Mum has now settled in to her new environment, and she is being very well cared for by the wonderful staff team.
The home is attractively decorated, light and airy with the benefit of a quiet central courtyard garden with tables and chairs which residents can easily access. My mum's room is fresh and bright with two windows that look out on the courtyard and she sleeps very well there. The communal living area is another bright and attractive room with doors leading out into the courtyard, and there is a 'cafe' in another area of the building which is a nice place to go for a change of scene.
Importantly the food is very good, and my mum loves a particular staff member's excellent home-made shortbread!

The dignity and exceptional standard of care my mother receives during her short time at Daviot Care Home, has gone so much further than words can share. You have given us peace where there was none, and a period of time we though had long gone from her world. I have been a nurse for a long long time
and I can say with complete honesty that the palliative care he received was everything and more we needed for her. Thank you.

Reply from Meallmore Lodge, Manager at Daviot Care Home

Thank you so much for this lovely feedback. It means so much to the team to receive such positive affirmation about their skills and passion. It was a privilege to have been involved with your family, albeit only for a short while. Take care.

My mum could not have had better care than what she received at Daviot Care Home. The whole team from management, maintenance, nursing, domestic and catering. The activities staff and gardeners are also included in my gratitude. Everyone had a friendly smile and caring attitude towards my mum and my
family. Her end of life care was given with such kindness that we will always think of Daviot as a place of peace. Thank you.

Mum has been at Kelvinside Manor since it opened at the end of January. Since then her health and wellbeing has improved greatly as she is being properly cared for and so well looked after in every way.

The manager and her team are all very friendly, professional and caring and have created a wonderfully

warm, welcoming and homely atmosphere.
Mum has a beautiful room and all the communal areas are very comfortable with lovely furnishings and decor, it really is such a wonderful environment.

My siblings and I are so grateful to have found such a lovely home for mum and would highly recommend Kelvinside Manor.

It's a big thing moving into a home, and Kelvinside Manor and all the staff are very aware of the change for the resident and their family. My Mum was made to feel so welcome from day one; there was always someone to tell her what was happening or help her in any way she needed.
My mum's care plan
was put together correctly; time was taken to understand her needs and to make sure she was cared for properly. The staff are genuinely fantastic, and it's clear they love what they do, they offer all the residents the respect and dignity they all so deserve.
I love that they have a cafe, for everyone to use at any time, it means when visiting you don't have to sit in a bedroom but can have a coffee or even a glass of wine from the wine cart and sit and feel like you are out when visiting someone in the home.
I am confident that this is the best place for my Mum, she loves all the staff which is great and I know she is safe and happy which is the most important thing.

It's incredibly important to us that every resident receives personalised care that reflects who they are, and we're glad this was your experience during the development of your mum's care plan. We're also happy to hear you've enjoyed the cafe and wine cart during your visits. We believe in creating warm, social spaces that help families feel at home, and it means a lot to know this has made a difference to your visits. Your confidence in Kelvinside Manor means so much to us. Knowing that your mum is safe, happy and feels at home is exactly what we strive for. My sister has been at Willow Lodge for 10 months now. Since her admission, I have seen such a positive change in her. I have found the staff - all okf them, helpful, friendly and communicative.
There are plenty of activities available. My sister tells me the food is great and the chefs are very nice.
One of the main things for me is that she is now in a much safer environment, receiving the emotional and physical support she needs.

I saw my sister today and was really pleased to see her looking well. She has been living at Willow Lodge for 10 months and seems to ve more settled. The food and staff are her favourite things. The high quality of food and variety is wonderful.
I live far away from her, so knowing she is in a safe
environment is such a relief for me. I am sure she will continue to flourish in Willow Lodge.

No real problems with kincaid other than numerous brand new clothing items going missing despite being labelled.
I object to being charged for labelling I feel this should be free.
Have been phoned evening before regarding father's medical appointments to see if I could accompany, far to short notice.
Father's
personal hygiene could improve plus clothing cleanliness although I know my father can be difficult.

Fabulous home for my brother. The home cares for residents with many different mental health conditions and I have experienced first hand their knowledge and experience when asking questions regarding my brothers care . On a recent visit they had a takeaway night which my brother loved . He goes out
in the community to clubs that he enjoys . Staff know him well and he enjoys having a joke and a laugh with them . Staff are friendly and always offer a cup of tea . My brother likes a routine and staff help him with this and explain things in a way he understands . Im sure it's not easy dealing with multiple mental health conditions , but every time I've visited residents are happy . My brother is safe here and most importantly he is very happy . The Manager is very approachable and is always quick to respond to any questions or concerns regarding my brothers care.A very unique and loving home that my brother has thrived in . Thank you to all the staff at The Oaks
