I have no complaints on the overall service. Answering the phone seems to be a major problem on the residents floor, not the front office! I have lost count on the numerous attempts I have made when trying to connect to my Dad's floor, it is very frustrating!

Home went to considerable effort to celebrate my mother's 100th birthday which was much appreciated.
Would be helpful if all staff could wear name badges. Have raised this before and would have thought this could have easily been implemented.
Does appear to be a bit of staff turn over but maybe an
issue for care services in general
Reply from Cameron, Team Member at Antonine House Care HomeThank you for your thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear that your mother's 100th birthday was made special and that the celebration was appreciated - it was a pleasure for the team to be part of such an important milestone. Overall happy with care my relative receives. However, have found interaction from staff, both with residents and visitors varies depending on who is on duty. Often have to approach staff to ask, rather than be approached and informed by them. Staff personnel changes so often that it is hard to build
a rapport. We are only able to visit once per week.
Reply from Cameron, Team Member at Antonine House Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you're overall happy with the care your relative receives and appreciate your honesty around communication and consistency.

Building strong relationships with residents and families is very important to us, and we understand how staff changes and limited visiting opportunities can make this more challenging. Your comments have been shared with the management team so we can continue to strengthen communication and ensure families feel informed and supported whenever they visit.

I have no experience of other Care Homes but my husband seems settled and given his health condition, content. The staff are all professional and very kind. They have made an effort to get to know him and his needs.
Communication has occasionally been an issue but this has been dealt with promptly.

It is such a relief to know my relative is in a safe, nurturing environment following a few years of anxiety for her health and wellbeing in her own home.
When I visit I am impressed by the number of staff on duty and to see their interactions with the clients.
Although she prefers to stay in her
room they involve her in activities and spend time chatting.
She always praises the staff and the food!
Reply from Cameron, Team Member at Antonine House Care HomeThank you for your kind and thoughtful review. We're really pleased to hear that your relative feels safe, supported and well cared for, and that this has brought you reassurance after what has clearly been a worrying time. It's wonderful to know that our team's interactions, involvement in activities and time spent chatting have made a positive difference, even when she prefers the comfort of her own room. We'll be sure to share your feedback with the team, especially your lovely comments about the staff and food.

My Mum has been a resident at Antonine House Care Home for 15 months. I cannot recommend the Care Home highly enough based on our experience right from the first inquiry to now. It is a difficult time when a loved one has to move into a Care Home but all the staff and the facilities at the home has
made that transition as smooth and happy as possible so Mum settled quickly. Mum has thrived on the good food, activities and support of staff. Mum recently enjoyed an outing to an Art Gallery which we had a lovely follow up conversation about. Her birthdays and Christmas in the home have been great celebrations. I cannot praise the staff highly enough from cleaners to gardeners to drivers to cafe hosts to chefs to managers to activity co-ordinators to carers to nurses they all know my Mum's name and make a great team.
Reply from Cameron, Team Member at Antonine House Care HomeThank you so much for sharing this wonderful review. We know how emotional and challenging it can be when a loved one moves into care, so hearing that your mum's transition into Antonine House felt smooth, supportive and positive truly means a great deal to us. It's lovely to hear how much she has thrived - from enjoying the food and activities to chatting about her recent trip to the art gallery. Moments like these are exactly what we hope to create for every resident. Your kind words about our whole team - from housekeeping and gardening right through to nursing, activities and management - are incredibly appreciated. It's important to us that every colleague plays a part in helping residents feel known, valued and at home. Thank you again for your trust and for recognising the work of the entire Antonine House family. We're delighted your mum has settled so well, and we'll continue doing everything we can to support her happiness and wellbeing.

My relative has been in Antonine House for just over 12 months. She was admitted from hospital. She has been well looked after and has settled into her new surroundings. She enjoys many of the activities. She has a lot of visitors who are all made very welcome. The staff are professional, enthusiastic
and caring. The home is situated in pleasant surroundings and has a well-maintained garden which is well utilised when the weather allows.

Accommodation and food continue to be of a very high standard and the residential home has the feel of a hotel. My mum has been here now for over 9 months and we are happy that she is getting very well cared for and there are plenty of activities to keep her busy. The nurses, carers, admin, cooks and
auxiliary staff seem like they get on well as a team. Occasionally when they are busy they take a little too long to arrive after a buzzer call and also serving runny cream with the strawberries during Wimbledon meant the inevitable spillages, but these are minor reservations and I continue to be very happy with the care provided.

Everyone is always on hand to update us on any issues that crop up and we feel fully engaged with what is going on and how things are during

My mother has been at Antonine House Care Home for the past two months having moved directly from hospital following a series of falls. I visited a number of care homes in the area before choosing Antonine House and have been happy with the choice.
It's very difficult to give your mother into the
care of others and everyone at Antonine House has been thoughtful and kind. All the staff have made a real effort to understand her needs and temperament and to make her comfortable. They've also made my brother and I feel welcome and fully part of her care.
It's never going to be a faultless process but all the staff I have met at Antonine House works hard to deliver a high level of care with the best possible attitude. I believe they have my mother's best interests at heart; also the food is really good!

Prior to moving into Antonine House, Mum was struggling to cope at home. Although apprehensive about the change, she quickly settled and has now been a resident for over 2 years.
Antonine House is a purpose-built modern building with good facilities including a lovely enclosed courtyard garden which
Mum loves sitting in during the summer.
Staff are friendly and treat her with care and respect. Almost all know her name and will take the time to greet her or chat if passing in the corridor. Mum celebrated her 90th birthday last summer and staff went out of their way to enable us to have a special family party in celebration, making it a memorable day for all.
Mum is encouraged to take part in a number of activities on a daily basis and is offered a varied diet.
On the few occasions that Mum has been unwell, staff have been very attentive and sought medical advice promptly.
I do not believe my mum would be alive today were it not for the care and support received at Antonine House.

(1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 registered maximum number of service users is 16.2, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
