Overall Experience

My Mum moved into Airthrey Care home in May having been diagnosed with Vascular dementia. Before moving in, we reviewed and visited quite a few homes in the Falkirk District. Airthrey was by far the stand out facility in both overall environment and staffing.
Since moving in , she has enjoyed the events

that have taken place and has settled in extremely well and is making friends with a small circle of other residents.
The home is bright, spacious, airy and clean with a single floor layout and two generous lounges with comfortable seating areas elsewhere within the building and a large enclosed, sheltered courthyard garden within the centre of the building and well maintained external gardens that are used for various events in good weather and are well decorated for winter events.
The staff are exemplary, and universally display considerate and caring attention to all the residents. Even when some residents are not having a good day, the staff appear well skilled in de-escalation.

Overall Experience

My father was resident in Airthrey Care Home from April of this year until he passed away recently.Our family would like to thank each and every person involved in my father Edwards Care.We couldn't have asked for anymore .The staff were amazing with the Care of the residents being their top priority.They

went above to ensure my dad had the very best of Care.From Management to admin staff cleaners carers and kitchen staff everyone was amazing.They involved our family with every aspect of my father's care and nothing was a bother to ensure my dad was well cared for and comfortable. When my dad was receiving palliative care they supported our family and helped ease our worries and made sure our dad was comfortable. We would recommend this care home to anyone who is considering a care home.The environment is warm and welcoming and very relaxed.It has lovely garden area and lounges and bedrooms are comfortable.Thanks to everyone at Airthrey Care Home.From all Eddie's loving family

Overall Experience

As per previous reviews this is an excellent care home. My mother has always had exceptional care from all the staff within the home, including the management team. The home is always kept very clean and the staff cannot do enough for myself and mum. Her room is always very well kept and smelling clean.

She has her own nic nacs to help making it more homely. The home is well-maintained and any issues dealt with promptly. Overall highly recommended.

Overall Experience

Staff treat the residents with kindness and concern for their welfare. They know the residents well and take their complex needs into consideration. They make an effort to engage with my brother who finds socialising challenging. He is very well cared for. The atmosphere in the care home is very positive.

The decor is modern and calming. Thank you to all the hardworking staff.

Overall Experience

My Dad has been a resident here in Ivybank now for almost 1 year and has settled in well. He enjoys the banter from the staff and he likes giving it back. The food is excellent and he always eats everything that is available. The staff always call me if there has been an issue with his health ie had

a dizzy spell or earache etc. There is always a follow up 6 monthly review with me and his key-worker to raise any concerns from me or from the home. Dad on the whole is very happy here and he has dementia he keeps worrying he may have to leave and needs to be reassured he won't. The only negative is Dads hearing aids go missing constantly and I need to go to Audiology on a regular basis to have them replaced. He is kept clean and presentable at all times

Overall Experience

My father has been in care since the end of June 2025. My dad has taken a fair bit of time adjusting to being in the home, but liked the staff and how he is treated. I know he is in the best place since he is getting round the clock care.

Overall Experience

Generally I believe the care provided to be of a high quality. Sometimes when temporary/contract staff are used I have some concerns (observed, reported to management and action was taken). There are some residents with demanding care needs and these look to be well managed.

Overall Experience

My mother has been in Ivybank for nearly 3 years. During that time she has received excellent care. The staff are kind and very considerate to all the residents. The food is very good. They have arranged various outings and entertainment. The management is approachable and seek people's views.

Overall Experience

My mum has been in Airthrey Care Home for over three years and in very settled, content and happy. We were so happy when a space became available because it was 2nd on our list of those we went to look at during during 2022. The home is well maintained and there are always cleaners working away when

I visit at different times during the week. The center courtyard is lovely as it gives a secure outside space for residents but also let's natural light in. The staff are great and try to involve my mum in activities and take her on outings. I can't speak highly enough of everyone there.

Overall Experience

All staff are very friendly towards myself and family when we come to visit. I see the 1st class care given to all residents when I am visiting. Cleanliness in the home is good. Food supplied to residents looks nice and appetising and residents are looked after during meal times .
Any health issues

with my parent is looked into and I am informed of any changes to their health/medicines and I am very happy with the care given.

My brothers and I are very happy with the care our mother receives at Airthrey Care. Mum is very happy there and very well looked after. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy and settled. There are lots of activities and events to keep the residents entertained. Good feedback

Mum can be hard work due to her dementia but I'm never made to feel that she's a problem. She's always been shown kindness and respect. Any small issues I may have are dealt with promptly and without any fuss.

Overall Experience

My mum is a resident in the care home and it's been almost a year now she's been part of the care home, she's so happy here , the staff are great with her , any questions / issues we have had the management team have been first class in helping us with , they have made the transition from my mum living

in her own home to moving in to the care system and we as a family cannot thank them enough, the home is spotless clean my mum just thinks it's great that she has this service to care for her and it puts the families mine at rest that she is getting the best of care from all the staff & management in Airthrey

Overall Experience

The most impressive aspect of Airthrey are the staff. Every member of the team, from the management to the carers and the kitchen staff, are warm, friendly, and compassionate. They treat my mum with dignity and respect, always with a smile and a willingness to help, no matter the request. My mum has

dementia and has recently lost her husband, but the staff's expert, patient, and person-centered approach has helped her settle in and they have reduced her anxiety considerably.
The facility itself is always clean and well-maintained. The rooms are comfortable and we were encouraged to personalize mums with her own possessions.
The food is also excellent, lots of tea and cakes.

Overall Experience

Both myself (step- daughter) and my mum ( partner) of new resident (6weeks) can not emphasise enough how good we feel about Airthrey Care Home at this particularly difficult time!
As new 'clients' experiencing putting a loved one into care for the first time-we can not praise ALL staff enough!
The

support and communication has been superb, keeping us as a family fully updated and involved in our loved ones care plan, progress etc.
The care home itself is friendly, inviting, homely and very well kept with every attempt made to cater for each individuals needs.
We have been made to feel so welcome- everyone has been extremely helpful and reassuring without judgement.
The patients appear to be so well looked after and are encouraged to participate in organised activities.
The meals look great too! So good in fact, our family member has actually put some weight on!!
All in all, even at this early stage, we as a family are so happy to have found this excellent care home! THANK YOU
