My mum Lottie came to Crimond House Care Home at the end of January & has received excellent care from all the staff showing care & respect. Mum has had her nails done hair done which really helps to make her feel good. They had a gentleman singing to residents in the lounge and all the residents thoroughly
enjoyed singing along.
My mum says all the staff are magnificent!!!
Staff always keep us up to date with every aspect of mums care when we are visiting or by phone calls
Huge thank you to all staff members at Crimond House Care Home

Respite care for Mum was very welcome. Mum settled in well and enjoyed her stay. She particularly enjoyed the company and the food. 2 weeks allowed us time to recuperate and let us see how Mum would handle a new environment.
Reply from Roselle Alberto, Home Manager at Kynnaird HouseThank you very much for taking the time to share your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that your mum settled in well during her respite stay and that she enjoyed both the company and the food. It's wonderful to know she felt comfortable in the environment, as this is exactly what we strive to provide for every resident. We're also glad the two weeks gave you the chance to rest and to see how your mum would manage in a new setting. Supporting families as well as residents is an important part of the care we offer, and we're pleased we could help. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you ever need further respite or wish to explore longer-term options. We would be very happy to welcome your mum back again.

My Dad was in St Modans from February 2024 until he passed September 2025.
From the first time we visited the home we were always greeted with a smile and a hello from all the staff. We were always kept well informed of any changes in Dad health and wellbeing. He was always very well fed and was always
as clean and tidy as he could possibly be. The care he received made it so much eaiser for us to visit knowing he was being so well looked after after we left.
In the last few weeks the staff did not only provide excellent care for Dad but they also ensured my Mum, my Brother and I were OK too, proving hot meals for Mum and ensuring we always had tea/coffee and anything we needed at that difficult time.
St Modans staff you are all truly amazing and we can't thank you enough for looking after our Husband, Dad and Granda so well during his stay
Reply from Pamela Geddes, Manager at St Modans Care HomeThank you so much for your kind and heart-warming words. It truly means a great deal to our whole team. It was a pleasure and a privilege to care for your loved one, and we're grateful for the trust you placed in us during such an important time. Your message has brought a smile to us all, and we're glad to know that the care we provided brought comfort to both your loved one and your family.

Over the past few months the carers/nurses have been exceptional in their duties considering the extremely poor weather conditions curtailing any outdoor activities. When visiting Bayview we are always made welcome and usually get an update regarding our relative. We receive phone calls when any problems
arise with our relative and kept updated on their progress. A meeting held a few weeks ago was well attended by relatives and the manager discussed the importance of introducing new technology and outdoor facilities to cater for residents with their different disabilities . Overall I'm happy with the level of care provided at Bayview.

Visited my mother in December, the staff were getting ready for Christmas lunch, a buzz of excitement was everywhere. It was wonderful to see , the home was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The staff, although extremely busy with the preparations of lunch, still had time to chat and give updates
on mums care and progress. I declined refreshments which I was offered soon after I arrived but as stated, staff were busy and I did not want to take advantage of there time .
My mum , as others all looked well presented and happy.

Your reassurance that she and other residents looked happy and well cared for means a great deal to us. Thank you for your kind words.

My Mum has been resident in Auchtercrag for over a year. She loves her room and frequently comments how she likes being able to see the garden. Care staff work hard to help Mum integrate though she'd rather stay in her room and isn't keen on joining activities. She does enjoy the regular Therapet
visits. Cleaning and laundry staff are to be commended. It's a great help that a dentist can see Mum at the home and that hairdressing services are provided in-house. Nursing staff are attentive towards Mum's health issues. All staff work very hard to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere at Auchtercrag.
Reply from Cameron, Team Member at Auchtercrag Care Home / Auchmacoy LodgeThank you for sharing such detailed feedback about your mum's time at Auchtercrag. We're really pleased to hear how comfortable she is in her room and how much she enjoys the garden views. It's lovely to know that the team continue to support her in a way that respects her preferences, while still offering opportunities like Therapet visits that she enjoys. We'll be sure to pass on your kind words to our care, nursing, cleaning, and laundry colleagues, as well as those providing dental and hairdressing services. Creating a warm, welcoming home for residents is always our priority, and your feedback means a great deal to us.

During my time in interacting with the staff at Crimond House on behalf of my father. I have found them to be professional, friendly, welcoming and fully supportive.
They are always willing to help my mother, when she visits her husband for a couple of lunches every week.
When I call them from 500
miles away, they offer assistance, and support when I ask for details of my father's care.
I can honestly say I have never had any bad care issues, and more importantly, my father is happy and well cared for.

I wholeheartedly recommend Crimond House Care Home, where my Mum is a resident on Logie Ward. She continually expresses how safe and secure she feels in this nurturing environment, and she often praises the staff for their exceptional kindness and support.
A standout aspect of Crimond is the quality
of food, especially the delightful selection of sweets that Mum thoroughly enjoys. In addition, the cleanliness and organisation of her room are consistently impressive, with her laundry returned the same day, neatly hung and ready to be put away. This meticulous care greatly contributes to her comfort and happiness.
Before moving to Crimond, Mum lived at home and, despite having carers visit four times a day, often felt lonely, scared, and anxious. She would frequently eat alone, leading to frustration and wasted meals.
In summary, Crimond House Care Home is an outstanding choice for those seeking a warm, supportive, and safe environment for their loved ones.

My aunt has lived in The Grove for some time now. Lately there has been a change in manager and the difference has been incredible. The new manager, Isla, has moved her office where she is more accessible to both residents and their relatives. This is reassuring to us and are welcomed to drop in and
discuss any concerns, listened to and matter resolved. These changes have had a knock on effect with staff, they are more relaxed and resident focused as opposed to work motivated. The ambience within the home is warm, comfortable, calm and pleasant to come in to. My aunt is less agitated during my visits and now we have lunch together every week which we both enjoy. The garden is a place to enjoy with lovely plants and shrubs. Seating at strategic spots where we can sit and listen to the birds. My aunts room although not the biggest is comfortable and clean. When I leave I am happy in the knowledge my aunt is well cared for and that's all that matters.
Thank you Isla and all your staff

Mum recently went into the home. She has dementia and is very anxious. Mum lived in her bedroom at home for years so didn't see anyone. The staff have been fantastic with her. Gently starting to coax her from her room to join in with others and activities.
Dad can go as often and as long as he wants.
The
room can be made as homely as you want. It is well kept. Clean. As I live miles away I feel so much happier that she is getting well looked after.
I'm always able to phone to find anything out and not feel like I'm being a bother.
Reply from Cameron, Team Member at Grove Care HomeThank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback about your mum's settling-in journey. It's wonderful that your dad can visit as often as he wishes, and that you feel reassured from afar - that peace of mind means everything to us. The staff are very warm, friendly, caring of the resident and patient and supportive with me as a relative.
The internal building is well presented, always clean and tidy, the outside gardens are pleasant with a few seating opportunities and are lovely if out for a walk in good weather.
The visiting
entertainers are very good, my dad really enjoys them but I don't think there are many activity opportunities for him to try, although he may have been offered and declined.
He is supported by staff in his little projects in his own room but I think spends a lot of time in his room, may of course be his choice but he is sociable.
His appetite is poor and staff encourage him to try different foods but he finds the cooking smell in the dining room upsetting and has his meal in his room but reports that it is often cold. Not appetising. Staff are the biggest asset, I appreciate all their care and kindness to my dad.
Reply from Cameron, Team Member at St Modans Care HomeThank you so much for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear how warmly our team supports both your dad and your family - they truly are the heart of St Modans, and feedback like this means a great deal to them. We're also grateful for your comments around activities, social opportunities and mealtime experience. Your dad's comfort and wellbeing matter deeply to us, and we'll review these points with the team to ensure we're offering the right balance of choice, encouragement and support. If he's spending more time in his room, we'll explore whether that's preference or whether we can do more to help him feel confident joining in. Thank you again for your honesty and for recognising the kindness and care of our colleagues. We'll continue working closely with you to make sure your dad feels settled, connected and well-supported every day.
