Amanda joins Pitfodels Wood Care Home in Aberdeen as an experienced, highly motivated Home Manager with a strong track record in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Passionate about creating a warm, inclusive and community-focused environment, she is committed to establishing Pitfodels Wood as one of Aberdeen’s leading care homes for older people.

Amanda describes the opportunity as “a really exciting, positive challenge,” adding:

“Being able to provide high-quality care in such a beautiful setting is a dream for me – I couldn’t ask for better.”

This early involvement is allowing her to shape the home from the ground up, ensuring residents experience exceptional care from day one.

A key focus for Amanda is building strong relationships within the local Aberdeen community. She has already developed a meaningful partnership with Aberdeen International School, located next door to Pitfodels Wood. The schoolchildren have helped name the home’s households, and both the pupils and staff are excited about the intergenerational links planned for the year ahead.
